When you open your eyes you are welcomed by the void. A dark plane of nothingness, a vast yet empty ocean. It was cold, you shivered and wrapped your arms around yourself wondering how you got here. Your mind was hazy, you struggled to piece your thoughts together as you floated among the darkness.
"-n)..." you turned your head. You thought you heard the faintest whisper, calling you from the farthest corner of the blackness. You struggled to comprehend the voids whisper when suddenly, it clicked. Your mind flooded with memories at an instant- the abduction, Jason, Kaneki..KANEKI!
It wasn't the void calling you to it's realm. It was Kaneki calling you back to his.
"(F/n)!"
His voice set of an explosion of stardust and gas, giving birth to stars and galaxies that illuminated the once cold, dead space. The creation of life at an instant, so bright and pure.
The new stars surrounding you began to glow brighter and brighter, their warmth wrapping around your body before their bright white light blinds you.
"(F/n)!!" You feel something press on your injured shoulder and you let out a weak groan. You swat at the object hurting you and open yours eyes. You see white once again, but it wasn't a glowing star. Kaneki's white hair hung in front of his face as he finishes tying cloth around your upper arm.
"Kaneki," you whispered. He looked at you with his steel grey eyes, tired but flooded with relief. You smiled "White hair suits you," you chuckled.
Relief turned to sorrow as his eyes started to water. "(f/n) I'm so sorry," he choked, "this is a mess I never wanted to drag you into.."
"Don't be sorry, I should be the one apologizing." You winced as you sat up, and despite the pain, you pulled Kaneki into a tight embrace. Kaneki froze, unsure of what to do.
"I can't imagine the horrors you went through, being a ghoul," you could feel Kaneki tense up, so you hugged him tighter and buried your face into his neck. "I'm not afraid of you, you mean so much to me Kaneki...you did save my life after all." You released him from your embrace and looked deep into his puzzled eyes.
"Speaking of saving my life, what happened to that bulky creep, Jason?" You tried looking around but before you could Kaneki grabbed your face and planted a warm, gentle kiss on your lips.
You were shocked at first, but soon melted into the kiss. Unfortunately it didn't last long, Kaneki pulled away too soon for your liking. "Don't look," he muttered. "I don't want you to see the mess I created..." You nodded. You were sure you didn't want to see his remains- if there even is any anyways.
"(F/n)," he continued, "you are my world, but I am the moon. I'm cold and lifeless- you are warm and full of life. We may be two bodies floating close in space, but we are different (f/n).." Kaneki looked away and wiped his eye. Was he crying? "I am not good person for you f/n) I'm not even a person."
"Kaneki..you're wrong. You see, the moon has such an important role on the Earth. It regulates the tides of the ocean. It helps protect its climate and insures the rotation on its axis remains stable over long timescales," you pointed behind you with your uninjured arm, "you help protect me from shit space rock threatening to hurt or kill me. The Earth and the moon may be different- we may be different, but without you I probably wouldn't be here right now."
The white haired boy turned back to you, eyes red from the tears he hid from you. "I-I don't know, I-"
You cut him off before he can finish. "Besides, the night sky without a moon would be dull and boring. I think the moon is the most beautiful thing in the sky." You smiled at him.
Kaneki blushed, scratching the back of his head. "You and your star talk," he chuckled.
You let out a small giggle and looked away, slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, it's cheesy I know."
"Not at all, I've always liked it," he replied. "Come on," he said as he gently picked you up bridal style and stood up, careful not to hurt your injured shoulder more than it already is. You wrapped an arm around his neck, pulling him into another sweet kiss. It ignited an explosion, stars danced in your head and it made your heart flutter. He kissed you back with passion, before resting his head gently on top of yours.
"Let's get your wounds patched up, at and then.."
"And then what?" You asked, looking up at him.
Kaneki smiled at you, his silver eyes shining brighter than any star in the entire universe.
"Then- lets go home."

ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR BUT I FINISHED IT. It's my late Christmas gift to you all. Sorry for the delays, life has been wild.
