Tonight is the night that we are all hanging out at Cameron's house with Arman there. I am very nervous. What is everyone's reaction going to be? April and Cameron both know Arman but they don't know about the plan because I don't want this to looked staged or anything. Usually when we all chill at Cam's Austin is there but he only sits with us if we are watching a movie or drinking. We don't talk, at all. My phone buzzes and I open it up to see a message from Arman.Arman: I'm here!
Caitlyn: Cominggg
I hit send then check myself in the mirror one more time before grabbing my bag and walking out.
"I'm going to Cam's!" I yell out before leaving. I close the door behind me and walk towards Arman's car.
"Hey" I say opening the door and climbing in."Hey" He says pulling out of the driveway. "You okay?" He asks noticing my stiff posture.
"Yeah, just nervous." I shrug my shoulders.
"Don't be, everything is going to be fine." He reassures me. I take in a deep breath nodding my head. I mean what is the worst that could happen? What if he doesn't react at all? What if he just doesn't care?
"I really hope this works." I say running my fingers through my hair.
"I think it will." He says.
"You don't know him, he...he's crazy sometimes." I say biting my lip as my mind goes over all the times he has lost his anger.
"Well shit, don't scare me." He says slightly chuckling.
"Just warning you." I respond.
We soon reach his house and I call Cameron to buzz us in. We both step into the elevator in silence. Nither of knowing what to expect. My heart beats harder and harder as we reach closer and closer to his apartment room. As the elevator stops and the door opens Arman and I both give each other a nod before stepping out. We walk towards Cam's door and I knock on his door with a shaky hand. I bite my lip impatiently waiting for him to open the door. As much as I don't want to go in I still want to see Austin.
"Hey, guys" Cam says opening the door.
"Hey" Arman and I both say at the same time.
"How are you guys?" He says moving out of the way to let us in. Arman answers Cam as we walk in. My eyes quickly dart around the room to see if Austin is around. Much to my dissmay he is not here. I see April on the couch looking down at her phone.
"Hi loser" I say plopping down beside her.
"Hey, how's it going?" She asks looking up from her phone.
"Good, you?" I ask.
"I'm pretty good." She says giving me a cheeky smile.
"Of course you are." I say knowing she's spent the whole day with Cameron. She nudges my hand with her elbow at my comment.
"I ordered pizza so it should be here soon." Cam says as he takes a seat on the smaller sofa as Arman takes a seat beside me.
"Sounds good" I respond trying to be present in the moment as much as possible. However my mind is on Austin and wether he is here or not. If he's not here I got worked up over nothing.
We all talk about random things as we wait for the pizza to arrive. Soon the pizza delivery person calls us to let us know she's here. Cam buzzes her in and she drops off our pizza.
"Austin! The pizza's here!" Cam calls out. My heart beat races as I soon hear his door open. Cam places the pizza on the center table as Austin walks in. He rubs his eye looking at the pizza. His eyes then soon move towards me and lock with mine. I give him a small smile out of courtesy where as he simply looks away. I see Arman looking him up and down almost as if he's surprised. Austin looks towards Arman then back at me then back at Arman once again.
"Austin, this is arman. Arman, this is Austin, my brother."
"Hi" Arman says giving a small smile.
"Hey" Austin nods.
"God, this pizza is amazing!" April says.
"I know." Cam says taking a bite. I grab a slice of my own after Austin grabs his. He takes a seat beside Cameron. He looks as if he's been sleeping.
"Movie now or later?" Cam asks with his mouth full.
"Now or later?" I ask turning my head towards Arman. I have to start interacting with him if I want to make this belivable.
"Whichever you prefer." He shrugs smiling at me. He leans back and slightly closer to me. Thankfully he's catching on.
"Yeah, same." April says. Cam turns towards Austin as he shrugs in response. I hate when he acts like this. As if he doesn't care. As if he has no interest what so ever.
"Alright movie it is then." Cam says buying a horror movie from his cable providor.
Cam reaches over and takes April's hand in his. They are doing really well. They are basically dating. I lol over at Austin and notice him looking down at his phone. I wish I could just go sit beside him and cuddle up. Speaking of cuddling, I ever so slightly lean on Arman. He adjusts himself, resting his arm on the top of the couch behind me.
"Does anyone want drinks?" April asks all of a sudden catching everyone's attention. I notice Austin glaring in my direction making it hard for me to act relaxed. Cam and Arman both say yes to drinks.
"Caitlyn, would you help me being them out?" April asks raising her eyebrows. Oh I see, I guess she noticed me getting comfy with Arman. So did Austin because I can feel him burning holes through my head with his eyes. I nod my head standing up and following her to the kitchen. We walk behind the wall so they cannot see us.
"What the hell was that? Are you and Arman a thing?" She asks wide eyed.
"No no, we definitely are not." I clear up.
"Then what was that? I thought he was gay?" she asks.
"He is, this is all fake." I admit.
"Huh?" She raises an eyebrow.
"This is to get a rise out of Austin to see if theres anything there. It's my last resort." I explain. It sounds riskier and riskier the more I think about it.
"Oh" She says in realization. "I think there is something there because of the way He was glaring at you guys." She says frowning her eyebrows.
"You think so?" I ask wanting to hear it again.
"Yeah, I mean he wouldn't be shooting daggers that way other wise." She says.
"I hope so, this is my last resort." I repeat.
"You just have to be careful okay? Don't do too much." She warns me.
"I will, but you have to act completely normal." I emphasize.
"Of course." She nods. We both grab the drinks, quickly making our way back.
As I hand Austin a drink he gives me the dirtiest look making my heart drop. If he would only realize that I doing all this for him.
Arman gives me a sympathetic smile noticing the sad look on my face. I take a seat beside him opening my drink. Arman leans into my ear.
"Pretend I'm telling you something and giggle, I want to see how he reacts." He whispers. I do as told trying not to look at Austin. I'm sure Cameron is probably very confused as well.
"Did he react?" I whisper in his ear making it seem as if we're have a cute conversation.
"Hell yeah." he whispers. All of a sudden I see Austin stand up and start walking.
"Where you going?" Cam asks.
"Not in the mood for a movie." he says without even turning around. He walks away without giving us a second glance making me let out a quite groan.
"Okay, what the hell is going on between you two?" Cam asks once we heard Austin close the room door. I explain to Cameron what we are doing and he also agreed that there was a lot response from Austin. I hope I get more time to do this and that he wont just walk away.
