My Review :

This is one of my favorite chapters. I love how the rest of the warriors in the patrol have finally accepted Legolas - love the banter between them - & I especially love this first revelation of Legolas' green magic, how Turion is wise enough to heed Legolas' "something is wrong" even though he didn't know what was happening, & the battle - love the whole battle scene, it evokes quite a sense of danger - that follows with Legolas viewing everything through colors & not remembering how well he fought, like a warlord of old, scaring his whole patrol. Thankfully he has the very wise Turion & Lainion as his commanding officers to guide & calm him in the aftermath of this manifestation of his hitherto unknown green magic gift, who both concur that Hwindohtar is a very suitable name for him :)

I saw from your other comment that the old man is Radagast? That never occurred to me, I thought it was one of the spirit leaders e.g. Golloron or someone similar.
