🔷JAYCE REED🔷
-Friday Morning-
"Hey, you remember there's a new girl starting today right?" Damian, my beta said, nudging my arm playfully, "She could be you mate."
"She could be yours you know." I replied.
I watched as his eyes lit up and his face turned into happiness. Letting out a small chuckle, I watched as he started wriggling around on the couch.
"I hope she has long brown hair, brown eyes and a few freckles, oh, and a beautiful smile!"
"Damian, you're acting like a little kid who's choosing ice cream from an ice cream shop," I laughed and watched as he turned his head to the side with a frown, "Anyway," I sighed, "This is a very important question, is she a wolf or a human?" I asked leaning toward him as he went into deep thought.
A few minutes later he answered, "I honestly don't care if she's a human or wolf, just as long as she respects everyone around me unlike, cough Charlotte cough."
I rolled my eyes and slightly shook my head, "You know, you described someone at our school."
"Who?"
"Brooklyn Anderson, the one that tends to annoy the absolute crap out of us."
"Maybe that's why I have been wanting her with me for every second of the day, she only turned sixteen a few weeks ago didn't she?"
I shrugged, "Am I supposed to keep up with everyone at school now?"
"No," He sighed, "Now, tell me what your mate looks like."
I thought about it for a while, I picture the girl with long black hair that turns brown in the sunlight sometimes, greenish-blue eyes like the colour of the sea on a good day and a perfect smile, she's just as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside and has to be a wolf.
"Ok, I picture the girl with long black hair, green eyes and a perfect smile, and of course she has to be a wolf."
"You and your whole 'mate has to be a wolf' problem, it's ridiculous." He exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air and turning away from me, facing the TV.
"Quit it Damian." I growled, watching as he turned on the TV and started to channel surf.
"So, the girl could be your mate." He mumbled, looking at the TV.
"I won't be interested in her Damian, I'm interested in Charlotte."
"Honestly, I can't see you and Charlotte happening. You'd be better off with a human."
"I don't care what you have to say, I'm not going to be mated to a human." I growled again and got out of my seat, annoyed at how this conversation is starting to turn out.
I walked over to the door and put my hand on the doorknob but stopped when Damian spoke, "Is it that much of a problem if you are mated to a human?" Damian challenged, also getting out of his seat.
We've known each other for a while, I guess that's why he's not being held on the wall by his neck by now, like everyone else would be.
But, I trust him, he's like a brother to me, that's why he's the beta after all.
"Yes!" I yelled and threw my hands in the air in exaggeration.
"Why, you're an alpha, you can kick those who challenge you out of the pack for gods sake!" He yelled back, turning off the TV and pushed past me.
