"C'mon, they're going to drop everything off tomorrow morning." He said as he grabbed my arm and led me out of the shop.

When we were outside, I remembered something, "Can you stop at a shop quickly, I need to buy food."

Yeah, I know, it's nothing special but I don't want my family to starve. I may hate them but I'm not a cruel person.

"Sure, do you mind if I stay in the car though, I have to call my dad." He smiled and I nodded.

* * *

"I'll be a few minutes." I said as I got out the car.

"Alright, but if you aren't back in five minutes then you're gonna be in a lot of trouble." He winked and I laughed, I shut the door, walked into the shop and grabbed a basket.

I walked down to where the bread was, grabbing a loaf, I walked to where I would find the milk and grabbed a carton, I grabbed the cheapest stuff there because I don't want to waste money on expensive food.

I only need to grab one more thing and I'll be done, so, I walked down one of the aisle but stopped when I saw Jayce, one of his friends and a blond girl.

And he was already looking me.

The girl he was with made me feel a ton of emotions.

And jealousy was one of them.

Anger. Sadness. Disgust.

He leaned down, whispered into the girls ear and she giggled. I stood there, watching them flirt —while his eyes still on mine, he smirked— while his friend was rolling his eyes and watching them.

Jayce hugged the girl and rested his chin on her shoulder, facing my way. His eyes never left mine, but eventually he stopped talking and moved away from the girl.

I dropped my basket by accident in complete shock, which made the girl turn around. She glared at me, it was a 'who the hell are you' look. She slowly walked over this way when she was pulled back by Jayce.

"Hey Amelia, what's taking so long?" Logan's familiar voice filled the room as he walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, frightening me a bit.

He's obviously oblivious to the situation going on now, I remember what he said about Jayce, how they hate each other and probably want to kill each other.

Logan looked up at Jayce and his facial expression looked as if he was burning holes through Jayce but he looked completely unaffected.

His friend whispered into Jayces ear and then he left, Jayce let out a loud sigh, pinched the bridge of his nose and looked at me, directly into my eyes.

"I'm sorry for what I did today, blah, blag, blah, apology accepted?" Jayce asked.

I was about to answer but Jayce didn't wait, "Good, I hope we never cross paths again."

Jayce turned around, he was walking away with the blond girl quick on his trail. I felt like I was about to cry, what he said affected me more than it should've.

It hurt.

It hurt so bad.

"Jayce." Logan said angrily as he let go of me and walked over to him.

"What Logan?" He questioned quickly turning around to face us again.

"You're an asshole, how can you be so rude to a girl living a hard life?" Logan asked, clenching his fists, he walked closer to Jayce.

"First of all, I'm not an asshole and secondly, I didn't even know about her life." There was a flash of sadness in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared.

"So, even if you didn't know about her life, you still don't treat her like crap!" Logan yelled in his face.

I hope we're the only people in here, apart from the cashiers but they weren't paying attention to what's going on. Eventually, I stopped listening to Logan and Jayces little fight because I really didn't want to be involved.

Who knew that two people would fight over me, and they're guys too.

This was supposed to be a nice, peaceful and quiet night out with Logan but I guess not everything goes my way. And to think this night was going to end well was a mistake.

"Stop!" I screamed, everyone stopped and stared at me.

Never have I ever yelled in front of people I don't really know, it was out of my nature but there's always a first time for everything.

I could feel my cheeks heat up, tears springing from the corners of my eyes. What brought the tears along was a mystery but my next action even shocked me.

I ran out of the building, leaving everyone behind.

I never looked back.
