"Wow." We were on our backs, still breathing heavily, this is the first either of us had spoken since we... Finished. Mark sat up at the edge of the bed. "That was..." He ran his fingers through his hair, not looking at me "amazing." He scoffed.
"Amazing." I echoed, glancing over at Mark, his back was so chiseled, his shoulders so strong and his hair, a beautiful red mess. "You are amazing." I said, quietly.
He glanced towards me, a spark in his eye. He swiftly turned towards me and flopped onto my stomach, lazily resting his chin on my chest. Almost instantly I started playing with his hair. "You're so pretty" he looked at me like a puppy.
"So are you." I cupped his face "a pretty princess." He scoffed and lightly pushed against my chubby cheeks
"Thanks I try, I've been really struggling with my eyeliner lately." He played. "And not to mention my heels."
"Well I think that your eyes and your imaginary heels are impeccable." I soothed sarcastically.
"Why thank you my prince." Mark said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes. We sat there in silence, but it was a kind of silence to enjoy. We stared into each other's eyes deeply and for the first time I saw who he really was, I saw what he really knew. I saw Mark, when this entire time I felt like I've been seeing Markiplier. I could tell he was seeing me too but it made me feel more naked than naked. All of the sudden all at once he knew my insecurities, he knew my pride, he knew everything I've ever been. I took a deep breath and his torso moved with my chest.
We sat there for a good 5 minutes, I could've stayed longer, just staring at him, it was Mark who broke the silence. "I need to go." I could hear the regret in his voice "I have a signing in 43 minutes, no doubt jacks already there."
"43 minutes, that's oddly specific." I smiled at him
"42 actually." He got off of me with a grunt and pulled on his boxers that were on the floor beside the couch, after awhile we had moved to the bed, but not after a little fun. He pulled on the red garments, followed by the rest of his outfit, this time throwing on a markiplier hoodie over top of his shirt. I sighed as he moved, all of his motions were so articulate. I realized how much I gushed over him and blushed to myself. I got up and got dressed, faster than he did although I still had to fix my hair. After awhile we were ready to go, and not a moment too soon "shit! Only 20 minutes!" Mark clicked off his phone which he used to check the time, and bolted off, I gasped at his sudden movement and ran after him, locking the door and pulling on my shoes. "Teej I need to run if I don't catch a cab, you don't have to come with."
"Well I'm not the worlds okayest runner for nothing." I laughed through breaths as we ran to the elevator.
Mark smiled at my joke and conveniently, the elevator opened as we approached, Mark had gained some ground on me. A woman walked out, she was talking on the phone. As we swiftly made our way out of the building luck seemed to be on our side, almost instantly we waved down a taxi.
We were in the vehicle as it drove around, finding the pax centre. I sighed, this was the last day... The last day we were here... The last day I got to see Mark.
I glanced over to see Mark tapping his foot impatiently, suddenly it stopped and my eyes wandered up to his face and I saw him staring at me. "What?"
"Nothing, ha it's just... You just got a little, haha you got somethin on your um." He laughed lightly and tapped his neck.
"Are you shitting me?!" I took out my phone and looked in the camera, sure enough there were a couple good hickeys there. I let my head fall backwards "damn it Mark." I let the words slip out. And he laughed
"That's what you said while I was giving you those, in a different tone, granted, but that is what you said." I blushed and looked over at him, gently pushed his face, smiling.
We pulled up and got out of the cab, paying the driver who had sheepishly kept quiet and not looked at us, telling him to keep the change for his trouble. As we ran into the building and up to the table there was a couple of the other guys who had been at the panel, I think it was bob and wane? Wade? I don't know they called him silly names the entire time, of course Jack was there too... Where was Syd?
Jack scowled at Mark, shooting daggers through screaming fans who were all taking pictures and chances are, I was in them, I looked at Mark and said goodbye. It was in that moment I made the biggest mistake of my entire life, it was in that second I realized why Sydney wasn't there. In that millisecond, when I hugged Mark and every single fan exploded into an uproar, some screaming of excitement, some of rage. Mark hadn't made eye contact and gently shoved me off, trying to quiet his fans. Jack glared again, but this time at me. I didn't know someone so happy, could look so absolutely menacing, and he knew it too, he knew the power in those icy eyes of his. I stared at him emotionless, shivers went through my body and he rolled his eyes, breaking the contact. My heart seemed to push to the back of my chest and I just wanted to leave. I looked at wade and Bob who were glancing between me and Mark, trying to get a read, I looked at Mark who was facing away from me, his arms up and trying to calm everyone down, I glanced to Jack who seemed genuinely frustrated for the first time since I met him, I glanced to the exit, and I took off. More running than I'd done in a year (sad I know) and I still wasn't out of breath, I needed to get out of there. My anxiety, my desperation, I needed air... I needed,Mark.
