Peri's POV

   I sat staring at my ceiling fan. I was dreading the first day of school, which was tomorrow. It was actually like 2 AM right now. I was afraid of people making fun of me. I mean, I would get why. I'm pretty chubby, I'm small, my hair is fucking weird, etc, etc. I got up and walked to my roommate's room. Her name was Amethyst. I knocked on the door and she opened it, yawning.
"Wassup, roomie?" She asked, leaning against the doorway. "I can't sleep. Gimme your fucking blanket." I demanded. She rolled her eyes and gave me one of her blankets. I wrapped it around my shoulders and she winked at me while I walk away. "G'night P-Dot!" She yelled to me. I rolled my eyes and curled up on the couch. I rolled onto my back and stared at my prosthetic arms. Oh yeah, these stupid things. I was definitely gonna get made fun of for these. I laid back. Suddenly, my phone went off and I jumped. I grabbed it and looked at it. There was a message from Amethyst, even though she was two rooms away from mine.
little shit: peridork go to bed.
I rolled my eyes and shouted, "YES MOM!" and curled up into a ball, falling asleep slowly.

Lapis' POV (just to make this longer and less pointless lmao)

   I stayed awake, curled up in a ball and staring at the wall. My parents were fighting again. I sighed and closed my eyes tightly. I needed to sleep, but they didn't seem to shut up. I stared at my arms and looked at the scars along my wrist. I sighed again, running my hands through my hair and hearing my parents shut up. I smiled and closed my eyes again, falling asleep slowly. I actually couldn't wait for school tomorrow, it sounds weird, but I just really wanted to talk to my friends again.
