Peridot's POV

   After class was dismissed for us to go to lunch, I grabbed Lapis' hand and she smiled down at me while we went to the cafeteria. I dragged her over to the table we usually sit at with all our friends, and sat down with her. While we waited for our friends to come over, Lapis ran her thumb across the back of my hand, smiling at me. I smiled back at her and kissed her hand. She giggled and poked my nose.

"You're weird, Peri. And I love you for it." She muttered. I felt stars come to my eyes and I hugged her. "That's literally the nicest thing you've said to me." I said jokingly. She smirked at me and pat my head. We pulled away once we heard Amethyst, Pearl coming over. They sat down, arguing about something. Probably something stupid, I'm sure. Pearl sighed and looked away while Amethyst looked down sadly. Both of their hands were next to each other on the table so I put Amethyst's hand on top of Pearl's, smiling brightly. They blushed and stared at each other for a moment before looking back at us, not moving their hands away.

"S-so, how was your guys' day?" Pearl asked. Lapis shrugged and I grinned. "It's been fucking awesome." Amethyst smirked at the cuss and Pearl looked slightly angry. Lapis looked at me in the eyes, looking confused. "I forgot to ask, what was that about that new Jasper kid?" Lapis asked. I shrugged. "Jasper has been my friend since we were like... six maybe? Then one day she moved away... The middle of middle school, I think. She was like a big sister to me. Or a mom. I missed her a lot." I said, slowly bringing my voice down to a mutter. Lapis made an 'O' form with her mouth while Pearl and Amethyst nodded. I ran a hand through my hair and yawned. I turned because I heard Jasper's pounding footsteps. She sat down next to me
and Lapis and grinned at the group.

"Nice to meet ya, Pearl, Amethyst. I'm Jasper." Jasper said, sticking out a hand for them to shake. Amethyst gave her a high five and Pearl shook her hand. I leaned on Lapis' shoulder and yawned again. Lapis looked at me concerned. "You okay, Peri? You sound kinda tired." I nodded and buried my face into her shoulder. "Yeah. That panic attack and nightmare kinda wore me out though." I muttered so quietly that it was barely heard. She nodded and rubbed my arm. I looked over and saw the group staring at us, smirking. I growled at them and they went back to eating. I sighed and Lapis whispered to me.

"You wanna skip school, Peri?" Lapis asked. "Is that even a question? Hell yeah I do." I scoffed. She nodded and stood up from the lunch table. I looked at her confused and then squeaked loudly as she threw me over her shoulder. The group just stared in confusion as we left and I waved bye to them.
