"follow me i'll be your faerie guide for the new world that awaits you" the fairy said. "so i forgot to ask while we were arguing, but what's your name?" i asked. "you can call me Wix." wix said confidently. "so Wix like Pix which is short for Pixie?" i asked. "no Wix as in Wixie." Wix said sarcastically. we started walking through the forest swiping away a lot of flying bugs, and moving branches out of the way. after we made it to an opening in the forest where we could rest in the day i realized the sky seemed too bright for it to be the afternoon. i turned to Wix and asked her what time of day it should be, as well as what day it was. "well, if i had to guess maybe 6 am for you humans and Thursday?" she said unsure of herself. "well that can't be right it was Monday when i went on my bed and rested, it was also around 3 or 4 pm." i said. "had i really been asleep for that long?" i thought to myself. i had to figure out what this place was and what it wanted from me, but for now wandering around the world would seem like a better place to do. i got up filled with two new goals: Find out what i'm doing here, and travel to as far as i can go in this world. leave no place unchecked. i started walking with Wix following right behind me. we somehow made it through the forest out into a meadow with blue, purple, yellow, and red flowers just all over the place. i felt like this would be a good spot to relax and test out these new powers of mine by starting small and working my way up to much more complex stuff. i figured i would try messing with Wixs body by making her grow. as soon as i thought of it happening and wanting it to happen, i looked over to Wix who looked confused as i watched her expand and grow to a normal human size. i thought of her wings shrinking and just barely sticking out of her back and suddenly her wings indeed did shrink. "what did you do?" she asked. her voice had stayed the same as when she was small and seemed out of place for her body. i also made sure her clothes which i assumed were just leaves outfitted into the form of a dress would grow with her so she wouldn't be caught naked. i told her "well it's time to see what i can do, i mean if i can do anything why not try to see how far i can go?" she seemed to blush and then said angrily "change me back now, i don't like being this big." i thought it was weird that a tiny faerie wouldn't enjoy being big for once, but then again i don't know what it's like to be small. i made her shrink back to her normal size and decided to try giving me a couple weapons next. i focused on the kind of sword i wanted to use, i pictured a medium sized blade that was made out of a feather light metal. the sword also had the capability to transform into two or three other weapons as well. there was the sword form, BO staff form, and bow form. i tried thinking of a third weapon, but couldn't at the time. i made the sword a sheathe for me to keep it on my back. i didn't need a quiver or arrows since i could use my mind to make them appear. i then realized i might need to train and pulled out my sword making it go into bow mode. i needed to do some archery practice, the only problem was i needed glasses to see since i'm near sided. i never noticed it until i tried looking for a good target, but i could only see the area in a bit of like light fuzz from a t.v. but not as bad. "what's the matter?" Wix asked. "i can't see clearly." i answered. "well, why don't you fix your vision with your powers?" "i can do that?" "why not?' she said. "alright." i thought "i can do this." i focused my eyes narrowing to a tree just ahead of me from where i was standing and summoned an arrow to shoot. i missed and must've hit something in the forest, because i heard i loud roar come from it and start running around looking for who or whatever shot it. i panicked and decided to run behind where i was standing. i was running right to a cliff however, and now with no where to go i faced the creature i had just hit. it had a tigers body and neck, but had the legs and face of a Minotaur, it had satyr hoofs for it's feet. the beast roared continuously and started charging right at me, i guess it saw my bow. i turned my bow back into my sword quickly and sheathed it as i began rolling under the beasts belly. "i didn't think you were that athletic!" Wix said impressed. "neither did i." i said. i thought for a moment and realized as the beast forced his four feet to put on the brakes from falling and turned around that if i could change my eyesight maybe i could change my skills as well. i normally had this uncanny ability to have a special talent only to be able to do it a few times if i got cocky, which always made me feel down after being arrogant enough to try and do the talent in front of people. now a days i kept to myself any talent i may have, but there was something i was quite proud of. my mind and swordsmanship. my swordsmanship wasn't very good, it was more like mediocre however my mind is what i really took pride in. i could think and not let mind games trick me as easily as others, except for the jokes like: sally's mother had 4 kids one named May, another June, the third one was July, what was the fourth kids name? those tricked me once or twice until i was used to hearing those kinds of jokes. anyway back to me nearly dying, i focused on the sword skills I've seen through the media and such and how they worked, i also figured to boost my mental power, and physical strength so i could be more effective. i thought of making my legs faster, but not changing in shape. i thought of all the necessary things to make me capable of fighting. i also threw in making me skinny since if i could do it, why not? i opened my eyes and noticed the beast right in my face coming towards me. i jumped up and around onto his back and prepared to slash it. i looked for a weak spot, but couldn't find one. then i got an idea i used my mind to make a detector of sorts locate for a weakness of this monster. as it ran a red light scanned the entire beast, it felt weird having a red light come out of my left eyeball. the beast had now started to just run in circles, as i began reading information on it. i even figured out it's name "Silkytrid" (Silk-uh-treed) the name didn't match the beast at all, but i went with it. i took my sword and went for the stab only to have it shake me off as i was getting close to killing it. i landed on the ground with a hard grunt. i forced myself up as fast as i could and rolled to the right of me to avoid getting rammed by the Silkytrid. i prepared for another weakness and found out his eyes along with anywhere on his back were the only spots that could fatally kill him in the shortest amount of time. i changed my sword into a bo staff and used it like a javelin to bend over him while in the air i changed it into a bow and prepared an arrow "this time i won't miss." i thought. i shot the arrow as the Silkytrid stopped again and turned back around to charge at me. the arrow hit it right in the eye and forced both of them to shut. the Silkytrid was now lying on the ground in pain. rose my bow up with an arrow loaded and got ready to strike it one more time. "if i were to kill this i wouldn't know what would happen, on the other hand if i let it go long enough it might come back to kill me. so i could be in danger both ways." i thought thinking of what i should do now. i've never killed anything other than bugs in my life, and i didn't really care if i shot this beast down, but i wouldn't want a cause and effect to happen so i had to think. either kill it now or let it live for a while longer. i closed my eyes and made my decision. a few hours later Wix and i were walking through another section of the forest when he heard a gracious roar come from behind us far away from the meadow. i had kept my body in the condition i had set for fighting so i would be prepared for whatever comes our way. although i make sure the only new noticeable thing on me now was my weapon, i made all of my mass the same i was just stronger now. we began walking into the start of a plains barren of all plant life besides grass. "i wonder what my next adventure will have in store?" i thought as i continued walking with Wix by my side.
