We got the the main floor of the building which branched off into four separate sections. The entrance of one of the sections was a green arched door. It looked very inviting and had the symbol of the leaf on the top. The door next to it was red and had the eye symbol above it. Through the door I could see a staircase that was larger and steeper than the regular ones. To the other side of me was one door, and one entryway. The door was a brilliant shade of blue and had the square, circle, and triangle symbol above it. The entryway was what caught my attention the most. It looked like it had been created without an opening in the first place. Like it wasn't ever meant to be accessed to in the first place. The border around the entryway was a dark, rich purple color. Like it was meant for only royalty to enter through.
"What, what's that?" I motioned towards it.
"It's the entryway that's for the Mind Readers. All of the other ones are for the other powers." She motioned towards the other doorways, and said their corresponding names. But I wasn't paying attention. I was simply staring at the entrance. It was so beautiful amidst its simplicity. I began to listen to her again. "....but when the last Mind Reader died before the school was even built, the creators built the entryway in honor of her. There's supposedly something behind it that only a Mind Reader would know, but nobody else knows what it is."
"Oh, okay." For some weird reason I felt like I needed to get behind that wall. I needed to see what was in that room, I couldn't explain it. It was like when you had a large homework assignment that you knew you needed to do, except it would take you five or more hours to accomplish and it was already ten at night. However, I kept all of my feelings to myself.
Clara glanced at her watch that I just noticed was sitting atop of her pale wrist, and she exclaimed, "oh! It's almost time for dinner! We better get to the cafeteria soon. Otherwise it'll get hectic."
I nodded and followed her through several hallways until we got to be to what looked like a regular school cafeteria. Except there were about fifteen different lines going in all sorts of directions, and then the middle was full of regular cafeteria tables.
"I see what you mean by hectic." I stated. She nodded fiercely.
Clara grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me with her into what seemed like a completely random line. I looked around and noticed Justin and Andrew standing by the entrance, looking extremely confused.
"Clara, can they come with us?" I pointed to where they were, and Clara nodded.
We both waved earnestly at the two of them and they eventually saw us, smiles creeping onto their faces, and made their over through the crowds.
We got into the buffet line to see all sorts of food that anyone could ever find. There were vegetables of all colors of the rainbow, fruits as equally bright and colorful, and meats of all sorts. I piled my plate high with spaghetti and lasagna, while Andrew and Justin equipped themselves with pizza and hamburgers. Justin grabbed about three water bottles before going back for a fourth. Clara had grabbed just about every color of vegetable and fruit until she had an entire rainbow of plants on her tray. I grabbed a simple Dr. Pepper and walked with my friends to a random table filled with people that Clara seemed to know. We were all really hungry, so we were grateful for all of the food, however that didn't stop Andrew from complaining.
"Aww man! They gave me tomatoes on my burger! I can't eat these..." He complained.
Clara looked confused and questioned what he had against tomatoes. "I absolutely love them. They squirt into my mouth when I bite into them and it's delicious..."
"I probably would agree with you, but if I take a bite then my face will swell up and I won't be able to breathe. I'm allergic."
"Oh! I should have known. It's a pity, they're my favorite."
