AN: I was listening to this song when I wrote most of this, and it seemed fitting for Andrew and his family and their backstory. The lyrics are really good. One of the stanzas that stuck out the most was:

Boys, you can break                                                                                                                                                         You find out how much they can take                                                                                                                 Boys will be strong                                                                                                                                                         And boys soldier on                                                                                                                                                        But boys would be gone without the warmth from                                                                                        A woman's good, good heart

It just reminded me a lot of the relationship that Andrew and his mom have. Anyways, enjoy the chapter!

I shoved a couple more bites of macaroni and cheese into my face, but quickly realized I was staring at Justin. I stopped quickly but the smile forming on my cheeks was going to stay, along with the redness of them. I could listen to Justin talk about anything all day. He spoke with such passion and such a smooth tone, it was beautiful.

My romantic thoughts were interrupted by a high pitched laughed from Clara. It was more of a childlike giggle that seemed uncharacteristic of her, so I glanced up to see what it was that made her react that way.

"AAH!" I gasped in surprise, but quickly let out a loud chuckle. "Andrew! That's, that's great!" Andrew had adjusted his features to the point where his nose stuck out and unrealistic three inches extra, and his tongue curled out of his mouth in a loop. He crossed his eyes and was looking directly towards Clara, which made her cheeks go red with embarrassment. It was quite funny to see.

"Isn't that great!" Andrew exclaimed. "I learned that it's easier and less tiring to change my own appearance then to try and change other things. Cause when I'm changing just me, I'm pulling directly from my own energy. Changing something else requires whole other energy levels and techniques that I haven't learned yet."

"Wow Andrew, you actually sounded smart!" I laughed and so did he to let him know I was joking.

"Haha! Yeah, anyways......"

Vegas was what you would call a "sketchy" character. They had bright pink hair that hung loosely around their neck and wore vibrant makeup that made their features pop, but only when they felt like it. They deviated from the traditional trainer's clothing with their own style. However, once you got to know them, they were a creative, spunky person who was easy to talk to. Vegas was Andrew and all of the other Shape Shifter's trainer.

It's a good thing they were too. Vegas understood how hard it was for Andrew to focus, and was patient yet insistent with him. They talked to him in a way that didn't make him feel stupid, yet helped him to understand. Vegas was like the older sibling that Andrew had always wanted.

Andrew had always wanted someone to look up to. He had his mom, but that was about it. His mom couldn't teach him how to talk to girls, she didn't know how to teach him how to shave, or what to do as he got older. The closest father figure he had was Ali's dad, but they weren't really that close. So Andrew hoped that he and Vegas could have that kind of sibling relationship he longed for.
