Abnormal (Newt X Reader)

Previously on Chapter 9

After we finished eating we decided to call it a day and head to sleep. Before I enter the home-stead I feel someone grab my arm. I turn to see Newt "what is it Newt?" "Y/N... I know something is bothering you. If you don't wanna tell me, I understand. But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm all ears, okay?" I smile at his sweetness and kissed him. We pulled away and enter the home-stead. I climb in my hammock. I felt someone place a soft kiss on top of my head I open my eyes to see Newt smiling softly. "Goodnight, Love. Have a sweet dreams. I love you" "I love you too. Goodnight... Newt" then I fall asleep.

I really need to do something before anything happens. I could really hurt people someday
I have to do something....

-2 Greenie in Less Than a Month-

Y/N P.O.V

A lot have been happen lately. They are still deciding what kind of punishment that suit Thomas, since he entered the Maze. They are now in meeting room for the Keepers of the Glade. They have to decide for mine too since I went to the Maze to. So all we have to do is wait and see.

After a while they finally came out. Newt went straight to me "well? What's my punishment Newt?" "Since you've entered the Maze once. We've decided you'll only spent 2 nights in the Slammer" "that's fine by me. I did broke the rules" "and they also promote you to be a runner" I'm not really scared. I could use it to help me practise controlling my bending. It's a shame the wall is made of metal so I couldn't control it. "Y/N?" I snapped out of my thought, realising Newt have been trying to get my attention. "Ah... Sorry. It's okay for me. I'll be a Runner if that's what the Keepers decided" "but.... I don't want you to be a Runner, love. It's too dangerous" Newt said as tears stream down his face. I pulled him closer and embrace him. He hugged me tightly and we stayed like that waiting for him to calm down. Once he's calm I pulled away "Newt, don't worry about me.... I'll be okay. I promise" he nod hesitantly and pulled me back in his arms.

It was around night time. When the Greenie alarm rings. We all look at each other confused "that's the Greenie alarm. But Thomas just came" "maybe it was a mistake?" "Maybe..." Is what I heard from my fellow Gladers.

We run towards the lift. Gally and Winston lift the lid to open them. Newt jump down, since he's the most gentle with the Greenie. I look inside and my mouth hanging open in shock. "It's.... Another girl" he said. "Is she alive?" I ask him. "I'm not sure, love. She's barely moving" I jump down with him to check on her. I check her pulse. "She's alive...." I say relief. Then I notice she's holding something in her hand. "Newt.... She has something in her hand" he took it and open to see a note. "What's it say?" I ask. "She's the last one... Ever. What's that mean?" He ask me. Then suddenly the Greenie gasp, make all of us startled. "Thomas.... Y/N.... Everything's gonna change" then she become unconscious again. I was shock when she said my name. I can feel everyone's eyes on me. "Love? Do you know her?" Newt ask me. "I don't know... I may know but I can't remember" I was to shock. Then I passed out. "Love! Y/N?!" Newt yelled catching me.

Time-skip

I woke up to see I'm in the Med-jack hut. I look around me and sit up. I feel someone else presence in near me. It's Newt. His head on the bed, hands holding mine. "Newt?" I call softly, running my hand softly on his blonde locks. He start to stir. He woke up and look at me "Y/N... You're finally awake" he hug me. "How are you feeling, love?" "I'm feeling okay. But what happen?" "You passed out when the Greenie called your name" "right.... Now I remember" he pushed me gently into laying position. He run his hand to my hair softly "you should rest love. It's getting late. You'll start being a runner tomorrow" "but... I thought I should spend the night in the Slammer" I say questioning. "I manage to get them to lift that punishment for you" I just nod. I close my eyes and drift of to sleep. I'll be a Runner again tomorrow. I wonder what could happen in there to me. What's awaiting me? Most importantly why is there two Greenie in less than a month?

That doesn't matter to me for now, all
that matter is to find a way to
control this ability
