Alone

Friday! The best day of the week. Well, the second best besides Saturday when I don't have Hell. And by now you should know i call school Hell.

I dumped my clothes into a large suitcase. I was packing for that trip with my aunt to visit her sister for the weekend.

Soon, I was finished packing and I head downstairs to watch a movie. I just want this day to go by quickly. I'm bored.

My phone rung and I slowly took my phone off the table in front of me. It was Nathan.

"Hi." I answered.

"Hey Olivia. I was wondering if you'd like to chill. Maybe go somewhere." He stated.

I was beginning to get excited. Maybe my day wouldn't be so boring after all.

"Sure, I'll meet you at McDonald's."

"And then I was like I really need a dog!" Nathan exclaimed finishing his story.

I burst out into laughter as I shoved the burger into my mouth. Nathan was telling me a story about his childhood that he was nearly attacked by a cat and that he needed a dog to protect him.

Oh my god! This guy is killing me. He's so funny.

"So do you like it here?" He asked.

"What? The island?" I replied.

"Yeah, the island." He stated chewing on a fry.

"Yeah, although it gets really hot at times. I love it here." I explained.

"Even though we don't see snow?" He asked raising his eyebrows and looking at me.

I looked at him, "Even though we don't see snow."

He looked at me for a heart beat longer than necessary and then he smiled. I felt like asking, "Is there something on my face?" But I didn't. I just let him stare.

Finally he spoke, "You're really pretty."

I froze. I'm what?! I stared at him with my mouth wide open. I then regained myself and pretended to be normal as he furrows his brows at me.

"Uh, thank you Nathan. You're not bad yourself."

"Are you kidding me?! Look at all this hotness!" He exclaimed gesturing to his body.

Laughter got the best of me and I began laughing really hard, "Oh my god! You're killing me."

I clutched my stomach as I shook with laughter. He had an amused look on his face as he watched me.

"What?" I said through small laughter.

"You're adorable when you laugh."

"Alright I think that's enough compliments for one day!" I said trying to hide my blushing face in my hands.

He chuckled. Nice chuckle! I thought.

Finally we stopped laughing and finished our food.

"So what's your plan for this weekend?" I asked him.

"Well my dad and I are going to visit his mother."

"Looking forward to it?"

He shrugged, "Nah, I think its going to be really boring."

"Try to enjoy it." I said getting up, "So are we going to spend the whole day at McDonald's or what?"

He chuckled, "After you milady."
