I didn't move a single bone in my body.

The entire class whooped and applauded once we had finished. I didn't let a second pass before I grabbed his ear and dragged him out of the classroom.

"What was that for?" I asked whispering fiercely.

"Chill. It was just to add something to it." He rubbed his ear. "And you really pinch hard."

"I don't care. You didn't check to see if it was okay with me before you did it."

"Does it really matter? It was only a kiss, I didn't take something else that means so much to you," he said. "Plus, it was nothing."

I stared at him for a few moments longer before holding my pinkie out. "Promise it was just a kiss."

He looped his pinkie around mine. "Promise."

"I'm up for pizza, who's in?" Julia said as we walked out of the school.

"You're always up for pizza," Elliot stated.

"I wouldn't blame you, though," I said. "Pizza is everything." I swung an arm around her shoulders.

"Can't. Mum wants me home." Xavier sighed. "I kind of stayed out too late after my curfew."

"Why are your parents so strict?" I asked.

Xavier and Elliot shared nervous glances until Alex broke the silence moments later.

"Well, that's my ride," he said gesturing to the black SUV that was parked in front of the school.

"See ya," we all called after him, watching them depart from the school in a dangerous manner. I love Joanne and all, but, not going to lie, she is such a terrible driver.

We all said our goodbyes and Xavier and I hopped on the bus, taking our usual seats.

"What was that all about?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing," he said nonchalance evident in his tone. I decided to shrug it off. I don't want to push for an answer that is most likely personal.

After a few stops, I plugged my earphones into my phone and offered an earpiece to Xavier which he gladly accepted. Wannabe begun to play and Xavier let out a soft chuckle.

"What?" I asked stunned.

"Oh, nothing." I rose an eyebrow at him.

"IF YOU WANNABE MY LOVER," I started to sing relatively loudly in his ear. "YOU GOTTA GET WITH MY FRIENDS."

He pressed his hand to my mouth, which caused me to mumble the next line, earning us a couple of confused and disgusted glares from the others on the bus. His face turned to a deep shade of red when he brought his hand down and into his lap.

"Embarrassed of me?" I sit and smirk at him with my arms crossed.

"No. I just want to leave this bus in one piece."

"What makes you say that?"

"You're the one screaming the lyrics to the song which could potentially make this bus end up in a tree or upside down."

I scoff and roll my eyes. He grabbed my phone and put on a song that annoyed me more than people walking as slow as a turtle that happen to be doing so directly in front of you. I don't even know why I still have it in my phone.

"You're insecure," he begun to sing, holding up an invisible microphone. "Don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or."
