Your POV:
It's now around dinner time, and I knocked on the Choi household front door and moved back a few steps. It's been a little over a week since Saeran asked if I could come over to check on Saeyoung, so we decided that I would come over every other day, after work, to make sure Saeyoung was okay. Thankfully, Saeyoung has improved with eating and drinking, but he doesn't talk a lot.
I waited for a few seconds before the front door started opening. Opening the door was Saeyoung. After the door was open enough, Saeyoung stepped aside to allow me to walk inside.
After walking inside, I smiled at the red head, but he just stared at me, not giving even a weak smile like he has been doing over the last week. There was a mixture of sorrow and agony present on his face. I want to tell Saeyoung that everything will be okay, but something inside me prohibits me from saying it.
Saeyoung looks to the floor, almost like he was thinking of what to do. Suddenly he grabs my left hand and starts walking in the direction of his room. I follow him, knowing he's upset.
As we reach his room, I can tell Saeyoung is definitely stressing over something, at least a little bit. Saeyoung opens his door with his free hand, not letting go of my hand he's holding. We walk inside, and Saeyoung shuts the door.
I look at Saeyoung with worry. A part of myself tells me that we are going to have to start from the beginning of this healing process, but another part tells me Saeyoung is just having a bad day. Saeyoung starts walking over to his bed and releases my hand, before climbing into his bed.
Saeyoung starts to curl up under his blankets, but he stops midway through and picks up the blankets. He motions for me to lay next to him, so I do as he wants. I take off my shoes and lay next to Saeyoung. As I lay next to him, Saeyoung presses his body against mine, probably looking for warmth. For normal friends, this would definitely be weird and get very awkward, very quick. However, the amount of times Saeyoung and I have comforted each other, has made us grow extremely close to each other.
Saeyoung rests his head on my shoulder, and I wrap my arms around him, pulling him into an embrace. Something about this makes all my worries disappear and everything seems right. Neither of us say anything, but I have a feeling that the thought is mutual. Suddenly, I feel Saeyoung's arms wrap around me. His grip is tight, almost like he's afraid to let go. I start running my fingers through Saeyoung's red hair, hoping he would feel safe and know I won't let go of him.
Saeyoung and I stay like this for a while. We lay here in silence, but it's a comfortable silence. There isn't really a need for words, as every little movement seems to have a meaning and we both understand it. We stay in silence, until Saeyoung speaks up.
"Y/n. What should I do if my father ever got information on me and Saeran?" Saeyoung pauses, taking a deep breath in. "What do you think he'll do?"
I stay silent for a second, thinking of what to say.
"Everything will be fine, Saeyoung. Don't worry." I answer.
Saeyoung doesn't reply for a moment.
"What if..." Saeyoung pauses again. "... she reports me and Saeran to my father. What if she tells people about what happened between us?"
I know Saeyoung is talking about MC. He hasn't really spoken her name since the day I showed that video, but the way he is saying 'she' immediately tells me he is talking about the brown haired girl who broke his heart, just like how she shattered my heart when she kissed Saeyoung at the airport on the day I came back home. My feelings for Saeyoung haven't disappeared, but I have pushed them away for the time being. Right now, I need to take care of Saeyoung.
"Saeyoung, she most likely threw those feelings and memories away, a long time ago. I doubt she will remember." I say, trying not to sound harsh.
Saeyoung goes silent again.
"I guess." Saeyoung whispered. "Thanks, Y/n."
Saeyoung moves his head from resting on my shoulder, to laying on his pillow. Saeyoung looks at me like he wants to say something, but he isn't sure whether or not to say it. Suddenly, he does.
"What do you think would have happened if you didn't leave for your work trip? I know things would have ended differently." Saeyoung asks.
"I'm not really sure." I answer honestly.
We fall into another silence before I suggest to go out for dinner with the Choi twins.
"Why don't we go out to dinner with you brother? It should give you some time to clear your head." I suggest.
I release my embrace on Saeyoung and get out of his bed. Saeyoung nods his head.
"I guess we can."
