A/n: I'm so sorry for not properly updating this book in over a month.
Your POV:
I take in a deep breath, as I enter the park. It's a warm day, as the birds sing from their nests and the sun goes behind the clouds every once in a while.
Yesterday while at the Choi household, Saeyoung asked me on a date, which I said yes to. He texted me this morning asking if I would like to have a date at the park. I replied telling him, he was the one who asked for the date, so he should pick where we are going. After that I texted back saying a date at the park would be good. Saeyoung then texted me a couple minutes later that we should meet at the park around noon.
I take a few steps into the park before I look over everything I have one last time, just to be sure I didn't forget anything. Luckily, I do have everything, so I start to look around for Saeyoung.
It doesn't take long before I catch his bright red hair and see him pacing back and forth near a small pond. I smile and walk over to him.
"Saeyoung!" I call out to the red head, just as I am about to reach him.
Saeyoung immediately stops pacing and turns around to look at me. A happy yet nervous smile appears on his face, as he looks at me. His golden eyes close for a moment then open again after Saeyoung lets out a sigh of relief.
Just before Saeyoung is about to say something, my thoughts rush back to when I first arrived back home, at the airport. My heart was instantly shattered, as I saw that woman kiss Saeyoung, but now here I am with the man who stole my heart, on a date.
"Y/n," Saeyoung smiles. "I wasn't sure if you were really going to show up."
"Huh? Why?" I ask.
"I-I-I don't know," Saeyoung stutters, clearly lying.
"Saeyoung? Why?" I ask again.
"Nothing, just forget I said that last part. Please," Saeyoung says with a sad smile.
"Okay. You don't have to be afraid to tell me anything, though. I have and always will be here for you. You know that, right?" I say.
"Yes. It's just that... she... didn't show up... the first time we went out... together," Saeyoung replies with a sad tone, but he brightens up. "But that doesn't matter now. I should have never thought about that. I'm sorry, Y/n. Lets get on with our date then!"
Saeyoung puts on a genuinely happy smile, as he cautiously takes my hand in his. He intertwines our fingers together, starting to walk along the pond.
I want to embrace Saeyoung and tell him that he shouldn't dwell on the past so much anymore, but I don't. Now really isn't the time for that. We should stay happy today. It's our first date after all.
Saeyoung and I walk around the park for the next ten minutes talking about anything and everything. We continue holding hands the entire time, of course. The first few minutes we tried to stay on a more positive note by talking about things like the RFA and Saeyoung's new job that he is going to be starting in two days. Saeyoung is extremely excited to start his new job, but at the same time, he is very nervous. I encourage him not to worry, and I tell him I'm sure he'll do a better job there then anyone else. Somehow, Saeyoung and I got onto the topic of our pasts, which lead to a more deep conversation for a first date. We talked about some of the bigger struggles we went through and how we attempted to overcome them. Most of the things we both struggled with, ended up getting better from being with each other. After we both saw how talking about the past wasn't ideal, we shifted back to talking about more positive things.
