'What happened hun'?, my parents asked as they looked down at me worriedly.
David kept giving me mean glances, I mean can't he take a joke?, but then again, only a few people had sense of humour these days.
I tilted my head so I could look at my Dad, but that movement hurt like hell. My first hangover!
"Dad am fine, its just stress", I said as my mom nodded her head and got up.
They all left the room so I could have sometime to rest after continously drilling me to tell them what really happened.
I sighed in relief after the last person went out of the door. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but sometimes they were a handful.
I closed my eyes, happy to be having a moment to myself at last after waking up when.....pfffttt, the noise began.
I cursed undertone as I tried to cover my ears with the pillow, as if that would have worked, considering the intensity of the sound.
Having quite had enough already, I got out of bed, determined to give a piece of my mind to who ever was contributing the disturbing sound.
Alas!, I was in for a surprise. Did I mention my parents were very religious?, am sure I might have along the way, but to give you a clearer picture, let me tell you what was going on.
In the living room was all my family members, including long lost ones, okay am exaggerating a bit, but that was what it looked like, and I wouldn't be surprised if they actually were, considering how dramatic my mom could be.
What were they doing?, hey! Don't rush me, let me get my mind around it first before I tell you.
So what were they doing?, Ah yes!, they were seriously praying, and guess who the prayer topic was?, me.
I paused in the doorway and then did a double turn back to my room, some things were less enduring than others, I would prefer to stay in my room and let my ears bleed from the chaos coming from downstairs than be the one facing all the glares of my parent and extended family members.
Hey!, am not the mean one here, they are, for bringing the entire family over without prior notice.
