"Hi mom." I spoke into the phone

"Hey baby. How are you doing?" She asked

"I'm doing fine. I hate living with auntie though." I said honestly

Auntie Jacqueline was walking down the stairs and heard my comment. She sent a cold glare my way.

Don't get mad at me. It's not my fault you a bitch.

"I sent you down there to get your act together, Jasiah."

"So why didn't you send me to live with my pops? I know he cares for my well being. Auntie probably only care about the money you sending her to take care of me with her broke ass." I mumbled the last part

"Don't say that." She demanded

"It's true." I shrugged

"You can't atleast stay there until you graduate?" She asked

"Nope. I can guarantee that I'll end up sneaking off and going with my dad anyways if you try to make me stay here."

She let out a soft sigh. "Okay. I'll call your dad and see what's up with him."

Nah. You gone try to talk him out of it.

"I got it mommy." I said

"Okay. Jasiah?"

"Ma'am?"

"I really want you to do better. I want to see you make something out of yourself in this world. Please stay out of trouble. Promise me." She said and I could hear the disappointment in her voice

"I don't know if I can promise that I'll stay out of trouble. It always seems to find me no matter where I go. But, I can promise you that I'll do better school wise." I said

"I guess that's good enough. Alright bye baby. I love you!'

"I love you too mama." I hung up the call and went to search for my dad's contact

"You're leaving?" I heard Taye's voice and jumped seeing her sitting next to me

"You can't be doing that shit. You must've forgot im black." I frowned

She let out a laugh. "Sorry."

"But, yeah. I'm about to call my dad and see if he'll let me stay. Hate to say this to your face but your mom's a bitch."

"Girl, I've been living here for 17 years with her. Trust and believe I know. But, why? I liked you being here." She pouted

"My mom sent me here to get my act together, and your mom be fooling. How the fuck am I supposed to get anything done if she always tripping telling us to walk to school. Does she not realize that school is and hour and a half away, walking distance?"

"Yeah she didn't start that shit till you got here. You know we don't really have a lot and I'm pretty sure she only took you in for the money." Taye stated

"Same shit I said. She don't do shit but sit around and hop on her boyfriend's wrinkled ass dick." I said and she laughed

"Why it gotta be wrinkled?" She asked laughing

"Because he old as fuck and I don't like him."

"You seen it before?" She asked me

"You wanna fight or...?"

She chuckled. "I was playing. Chill out."

"You need to stop playing. Don't nobody want to see his dick. Probably smell like mustard and mayonnaise." I rolled my eyes
