"Momma momma", the small child cried out to her mother. "Come look what I did"

A tired but smiling Sylvana walked out of the kitchen, a towel lazily thrown over her shoulder. She entered the living room only to find her bright and smiling daughter holding a small box.

"It's the music box Momma", she said, holding it out in her two delicate hands. "I fixed it"

Slyvana carefully took the music box from the girls hands, a look of disbelief on her face. The music box had been her mother's, and it had sadly broken during the move.

"Open it", Aphmau giggled, a look of joy and pride in her eyes.

Slyvana did, and almost started crying when the beautiful melody came to life; the golden ballerina spinning in her circle just like she did before. The small girl was giggling again, clearly happy with her handy work.

"Aphmau", Slyvana whispered. "How on earth did you do this?"

"It was easy Momma", the five year old started. "All I have to do was repair the broken music maker and put the ballerina back on her stand"

Slyvana closed her eyes, trying not to let her daughter see that she was crying. She quickly wiped her eyes and looked back down at Aphmau, who looked a little more sad.

"Do you not like it?", she asked quietly.

"No no no sweetheart", she quickly said, placing the small box on the coffee table. "It's the most beautiful thing that anyone has ever done for me"

She reached down and carefully picked her daughter up. Even with the mental arm, Aphmau was still lighter and smaller than most kids her age. The doctors told her it was due to all the surgery's she had to endure, but Slyvana believed they didn't want to tell her that Aphmau wasn't growing as fast as she should be.

"I don't know how you did it Mija", she told the small girl in her arms. "But you managed to fix something not even the professional down the street could"

Aphmau's face quickly lit up, and she started giggling again. "I guess I can fix anything", she declared. "Maybe one day, I'll have my own shop where I fix things!"

"I think", Slyvana said, looking her beautiful daughter in the eyes. "That is an amazing idea, and I will be there every step of the way to help you"

"I know you will momma"

Sylvana hugged her daughter closer, not caring about anything else in the world at that moment. Maybe they didn't have enough money to pay next weeks rent. Maybe they didn't have enough food to feed the both of them. Maybe the world just seemed to always be against them.

But they had each other, and that's all that mattered at the moment.

Today, January 19, marks the one year anniversary since I started writing this story.

I thought it was only appropriate that I post the final chapter today.

News about new story's and prequels will be coming later today so look out for that.

Thanks for sticking around throughout this year, it really has been a crazy ride.
