Chapter 18: First Date

Walking around soon came to be tiring, so Saeyoung and I sat down on a large rock that laid right under a tree. There we started watching the blue sky, while we pointed out clouds that looking like things.

"Awe. That one looks like a heart," Saeyoung says.

I feel Saeyoung's right arm wrap around me, as he uses his right hand to point where the cloud he spotted was.

"Cute," I reply, smiling at the cloud.

Saeyoung rests his right hand on my waist, after he knows I saw the cloud he was pointing at. I take a deep breath in, breathing in the fresh air. I rest my head on Saeyoung's shoulder, as he then rests his head gently on top of mine. I smile at how right this feels. A beautiful day outside, spending it with the person who I have cared about for what feels like my entire life.

"I love this, Y/n," Saeyoung says, as he lifts his head from mine.

I lift my head from Saeyoung's shoulder and look at him, smiling.

"I agree," I simply say, as the red head smiles back at me. "Everything right now feels perfect."

"I want to spend more days like this with you. I also wouldn't mind Saeran and the rest of the RFA members here. Although it's much more peaceful with just us, I don't think having the others here would ruin anything," Saeyoung admits, as I nod my head in agreement.

Saeyoung continues to talk about all the things he wants to do with all the RFA members. He talks about going to amusement parks, having a picnic, watching movies, and a lot more. Saeyoung looks so passionate about doing things with the RFA. Even though we may have disagreements or times when we want to hate each other, we are still a family. I just wish V were here to enjoy it with us, but he is in a better place now, watching us from above.

As Saeyoung speaks, I stare at his golden eyes that glow, however I can't help but notice a familiar face behind Saeyoung. My eyes shift to study the brown haired woman that stands not too far away from us, with a blond haired male in her embrace. Easily, I can tell it's the woman who broke Saeyoung's heart into pieces. MC. I stare with pure hatred at the disgusting woman. I notice the guy in her embrace is the same one who she cheated on Saeyoung with. I want to go over there and hurt her, but I restrain myself from doing so. Ruining our first date isn't something I want to do.

"Y/n," I hear Saeyoung say.

Suddenly, I see Saeyoung waving his hand in front of my eyes. I snap back to reality.

"Sorry. Did you say something?" I apologize.

"Not really. I was just rambling on," Saeyoung smiles at me, then laughs. "Did I bore you?"

"Of course not. I could listen to you for hours," I pause for a moment. "I just thought I saw something."

"Oh," Saeyoung replies, looking in the general direction I just was.

"No!" I almost yell, not wanting Saeyoung to see MC.

I get up to move my body in front of Saeyoung, so he won't see MC. I cup Saeyoung's cheeks with my hands, as I attempt to block the sight that was unfolding behind me, but I'm too late. Saeyoung already saw the woman who ripped and teared his heart into millions of pieces by the time I got behind him.

The happy glow in Saeyoung's eyes fades, as thousands of thoughts make their way into Saeyoung's brain. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Saeyoung weakly removes my hands from his cheeks, as he turns back around. I return back to my original seat on the rock. Saeyoung looks up at the sky with empty, emotionless eyes.

"Saeyoung. I'm sorry," I apologize.

He doesn't respond.

"Saeyoung. I-"

I start to say something, but Saeyoung grabs my hand in his and starts to walk away. I walk with Saeyoung, as he walks away from where we were just sitting. We walk for a minute in complete silence, until Saeyoung suddenly stops. He stops at a pond. This one is bigger then the one he was waiting for me at. Saeyoung lets out a sigh and takes my other hand in his. I look up at him.

"Y/n. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to get upset like that. The only reason I did was because I was able to save Saeran with her help," Saeyoung pauses for a moment. "I don't want you to think I don't like you."

"It's okay, Saeyoung. I understand it is difficult for you to go through all of this," I tell him.

"Y/n. I'm really in love with you. I wish everyday to hold and kiss you. I want to show you that I can protect and love you at the same time," Saeyoung says.

I feel my face heat up.

"I really want you to be my girlfriend. I want to spend every moment with you. You have made my life so much better. I have no idea where I would be without you in my life. You really do make me so much happier," Saeyoung contiues.

Suddenly, Saeyoung's face grows red, as if he just realized what he said.

"I-I... Um... Uh," Saeyoung stutters, as his face grows increasingly red.

I smile at Saeyoung, knowing his words are the truth. I let go of Saeyoung's hands and wrap my arms around Saeyoung, bringing him as close as I can into an embrace. Seconds later, I feel Saeyoung's arms wrap around me as well.

"I'm really in love with you too, Saeyoung. I feel so much happier when I am with you," I smile at him.

Saeyoung and I stay in each others embrace for a moment. As I rest my head on Saeyoung's chest, I can hear his rapid heart rate. Although mine is no different, I find it adorable.

Saeyoung soon releases his tight grip, as I do the same. Saeyoung takes a tiny step backward, just enough to be able to see his face.

"I know I should wait a bit before going into another relationship, but there is something so special about you that I can't stay away from you for too long. Will you be my girlfriend, Y/n?" Saeyoung asks with hope in his charming gold eyes.

"Of course," I answer without a hint of hesitation.

I'm not sure how many more chapters I am going to put out in this book. There is a 99.9% chance that I will not be making a sequel, mainly because any sequel I have written in the past, turns out to be bad.

Instead of writing a sequel, I might start writing a new book, still Mystic Messenger related. I was thinking of writing a fighting/war-like book. I don't know. Or maybe I won't because of how long it takes me to get these chapters out.
