"This is stupid." Casey huffed. His legs ached as they ventured higher and higher. "I can't believe the turtles talked us into this. We have to look through a whole group of middle schoolers to find stinky girl."
"Casey that's not nice!" April huffed, "Besides, you heard what Donnie said. She might have some key information on the kraang. They took her brother."
"Who cares! We don't even know her!"
"Casey..." April stopped walking, "You know about what the kraang did to my family."
"You're different, Red. I know you. Plus, you don't run when offered help. I'm sorry but I just don't trust her."
"She's just scared." April walked past Casey. "I- I used to be too. But hey! At least I have my dad. But her- well- we don't know if she has anybody." April turned around staring straight at Casey. "Can you even imagine what that must be like?"
"Yes."
"What- Casey I-"
"Forget it, Red." Casey swallowed bitterly, grateful his mask hid his face. "Sooner we find her, sooner we can leave."
...
(Y/N) could feel her heart start to pound.
The teacher decided it would be a good idea to count the students, to make sure none of them were missing.
But what would she do when she counted her?
(Y/N) shook her head, she had to go. No doubt that the turtles were finding someway to sneak in.
But just as she was going to leave the group, she saw to faces. The girl who had helped her and givin her clothing, and the guy she really didn't like.
She turned around instantly, holding her breathe.
No! No! They can't be here!
She started walking forward until suddenly, a megaphone squealed.
"Sorry to interrupt the touring! But we are looking for a lost young lady!"
(Y/N) turned around.
That bastard.
Standing not less then a few yards away, was Casey, convincing the officer he was looking for his "sister."
All eyes turned to her. The description was perfect, almost as if by photographic memory.
(Y/N) frowned as Casey fake hugged her, asking if she was okay and saying that she should never do that again.
"You're very lucky to have a brother like him." The officer said, "Who knows what would've happened to you if you wandered out into one of the biggest cities in the world."
(Y/N) faked a smile, feeling tears start to come to her eyes. She didn't want a fake brother. She wanted her brother. She wanted to find him and make sure he was okay. And if he was dying, she wanted to tell him that she loved him. The last thing she wants is for her brother to remember her watching with those eyes. Unmoving, still, and dead.
Because that is how she currently felt.
Dead.
Life has a purpose. That's what she was always told. Her purpose was to find her brother. But as Casey starts walking, she walks. She feels another hand around her back. It's April. April gives a small smile but she didn't look happy.
She looked like she understood.
There was dings. Noises indicated that she was found. Agreements of being brought back to the lair. Was she asked what she wanted? Pfft. Of course not. Right now she was just a prisoner.
