One thing James had not expected was that he would have a son, after all, he was only 15 years old, how could he be a dad to someone who also happened to be 15 years old. It was ridiculous and he thought it was important to voice those concerns. "How can he be my son, I'm only fifteen."
Lily only glared at him and hit him upside the head as she rolled her eyes. She didn't seem to be moving past the whole time travel thing just yet. James hoped she would hurry up and forgive him so that they could finally be together. "You're an idiot James! He's your son in the future, which means you have him in the future," Lily says as she shoots daggers at James who raises his hands in surrender. Lily could be terrifying sometimes. "I can't believe you got us stuck in the future!"
"You can't blame this all on me! You attacked me!" James told the redhead, suddenly feeling rather defensive. He didn't mean for this to happen, it just did. If Lily hadn't attacked him then they wouldn't be in this mess. If anything it was her fault. The intense glare she was sending him assured him that she didn't see it the same way.
"You stole my Time Turner, if you hadn't done that none of this would have happened and we'd be back home in our own time!" Lily whisper yelled so that no one else in the common room would hear. She realized that this probably wasn't the best place to have this discussion but there they were. Just like how they were stuck in this time.
"Gotta agree with her on this one Prongs, you did steal the Time-Turner," Remus told his best friend with a shrug. Lily was right, if he hadn't stolen it they wouldn't have ended up here. Lily stormed off to the girl's dormitory where she knew that she wouldn't be bothered by any of the Marauders. She could only deal with them in small doses and only when she had to.
"I thought we were friends, Remus," James said as he placed his hand over his heart in mock hurt. "I can't believe you have betrayed me in this way." James dramatically leaned against Sirius as though he couldn't even support his weight before he collapsed to his knees. "It shall be the death of me."
"James."
"I'm dying!"
"James, get up," Remus said as he pulled his friend up off of the floor. "I sometimes wonder why we're friends."
...
Harry, Ron, and Hermione were nervous about the new arrivals, to say the least. They didn't know them and had never heard about them, and that usually meant that they were out to kill them. It had happened more times than they would care to admit. They had been through a lot in the last few years and that had taught them to be cautious, no matter how friendly they seemed to be.
Sometimes they were wrong, and when that happened they were always thankful but that didn't happen as much as they would like. People tended to prove them right and they were tired fo being betrayed. Ron stifled a yawn and Hermione decided that it was all time for them to go to bed as they had a big day of classes the next day and that they had to be on the top of their game no matter what.
Ron thought that this was stupid as it was the first day and no one ever taught them anything interesting on the first day but decided not to voice this as he looked at the hard look in Hermione's eyes. She could be terrifying when she wanted to be.
"Right, night 'Mione," Harry said as he stood up with Ron next to him. Sleeping had become something he didn't look forward to, no matter how tired he was. He was plagued with nightmares from the night Voldemort returned that left him reeling. It had been going on since the beginning of summer and he wasn't sure how much longer he could stand it. He was even considering simply not sleeping anymore. After all, sleep wasn't supposed to be this painful, nothing was.
The two Gryffindor boys ascended the stairs up to their common room to find that the four new boys had occupied the four extra beds that had been empty since first year. Harry had never known why they were in there but he, Ron, Neville, Seamus, and Dean usually used it as a place to store extra things, sometimes Quidditch supplies and sometimes books they couldn't be bothered to put away properly after they finished their homework. Now, they supposed they had to put things away, that was rather unfortunate. They all hated putting things away.
