Harry sat in Defense against the dark arts with annoyance written across her face. Professor Umbridge was a complete git. She only wanted a ministry approved method of teaching.

"The ministry believes that a theoretical understanding of Defense Against the Dark Arts will be enough to get you past your OWL's. Which after all is what school is all about," Umbridge said in her false cheerful voice. Harry could see right through the act she played. The ministry was interfering at Hogwarts.

"How is that going to protect us from what's out there," Harry asked motioning toward the window to his right.

"And what would be after young children such as yourself Mister Potter?" Umbridge asked daring him to speak his mind.

"Oh, I don't know maybe Lord Voldemort!" Harry yelled getting up from his seat.

"Detention for one week Mister Potter, as one must not tell lies, remember that," Umbridge told him as she started handing out books. Harry was furious, this new style of teaching that is "approved" by the Ministry is absurd! How were they supposed to learn anything from reading old books twice through and taking notes! Umbridge was a git, that part Harry was sure of. When Harry looked over at Hermione she saw that she was staring at the book awkwardly. Harry knew exactly why Hermione had already read the whole book at least once by now. A moment after Hermione's hand shot up into the air to ask a question. Umbridge's eyes landed on her, however, she wasn't called on until everyone in the classes eyes had landed on Hermione's hand in the air. Forced to call on her Umbridge said "Yes Miss Granger."

"Professor, I've already read Chapter One of the book," Hermione told the pink professor.

"Then proceed to Chapter Two Miss Granger," Umbridge told her while looking back at her desk covered in photographs of cats. Hermione's hand shot into the air once again and was again called on by Umbridge.

"What now Miss Granger?" Umbridge asked with a frown. She had not been expecting so many disruptions in such a short amount of time.

"Well Professor I've already read Chapter Two as well," Hermione told the teacher.

"Then you may continue to Chapter Three," Umbridge said sternly glaring at Hermione.

"Well, actually Professor I've already read the whole book. I read it over the summer. It took me about an afternoon," Hermione stated staring back at Umbridge with just as much ferocity.

"You will be joining Mister Potter for Detention one week as well, for undermining your teacher," Umbridge stated sternly. "I will see you two in my office tonight after Supper."

Hermione was shocked, she didn't get detention often let alone for one week. At least she would get to spend the time with Harry, Hermione thought to herself before sitting in the class reading her Ancient Runes books for some light reading. When they were finally dismissed Ron was annoyed with both Harry and Hermione.

"I can't believe you both got detention for a week! You both should have kept your mouths shut," Ron told them in a stern voice. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter came up next to the trio.

"That class did not go well for you two," Sirius stated looking at Harry and Hermione.

"No denying that," Hermione said annoyed. She felt awkward talking with a young Sirius Black, the only Sirius the trio knew was the one that had escaped Azkaban after 12 years and was on the run. She liked Sirius but knew him to sometimes make rather risky decisions. The group walked down to the Great Hall to find the news of Harry and Hermione's detention was already wafting around the room. Some conversations not in whispers.

Meanwhile in the Year 2020...

"Where's James?" Teddy Lupin asked looking around the room his eyes not landing on the oldest Potter son. When no one answered Teddy continued, "This can't be good."

James Sirius Potter was 15 years old and was starting his fifth year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Teddy Lupin was 17 and in his 7th and final year at Hogwarts. Sitting in the living room of Potter Manor was Hugo, Rose, Lily, and Albus. The Weasley Granger family was staying all day at Potter Manor because Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Hermione Weasley and Ronald Weasley were all out at the annual Death Of the Dark Lord Party they were required to attend. Teddy Lupin was left in charge by his Godfather Harry Potter, James was known to get into loads of trouble and pull tons of pranks.

"JAMES!" Teddy yelled into the almost completely empty house. Rose Weasley finally looked up from her book and sighed.

"I saw him go upstairs," she told Teddy with a sigh.

"Well, why wouldn't you say anything?" Albus asked his cousin annoyed.

"Figured he was just going to his room, plus I'm not his Mum as long as he doesn't get us into trouble. You know I probably should have told you lot," Rose told them, realizing that it was a rare time when James didn't get them in trouble. James's figure started appear from the top of the stairs as he walked down. He had been hoping the others wouldn't notice he had left when Teddy had been distracted.

"Why hello fellow siblings and cousins! I have been looking through my dear fathers stu-" James said before he was cut off by Teddy. "JAMES! What were you doing in your father's study? WHAT WERE YOU DOING IN THERE!" Teddy yelled at his adopted brother, however, the two were just brothers at least in their eyes.

"I was looking for something I heard Aunt Hermione talking about. It was called a time turner and I saw her pull it out of this box and give it to dad. Don't know what it is looked interesting. Plus Dad left his study unlocked," James said with shrug pulling out a gold necklace with an hourglass and two rings on the end.

"James Sirius Potter PUT THAT DOWN!" Rose yelled standing up from her place on the couch.

"Fine, I'll put it down!" James yelled back dropping the time turner on the ground, as it hit the ground the time turner shattered into a million pieces.

"JAMES SIRIUS POTTER YOU IDIOT!"
