Blair
"What? You're joking! Who doesn't like strawberry ice cream?" Hunter turns to me with a shocked expression, I can't help but laugh. "It's pretty much the only ice cream I don't like." I tell him as some sort of resolution but he doesn't take it and shakes his head as he waits for his own ice cream to come. I taste mine, mint chocolate chip, best flavour hands down. Hunter takes his strawberry ice cream from the kind-looking man from behind the counter with a quick "Thanks."
"I can't believe it's your favourite. Yuck." I scrunch up my face in disgust and he looks at me. "Tense." He mutters and I look back at him, swatting his arm. "Rude." I remark and he laughs. "Oh come on. Strawberry is a classic. It's probably just too risky for you." He says and I laugh at his ridiculous explanation. "Yep. That's it. You got me." I say, raising my free hand in surrender. He laughs and I notice how great it sounds. If I could listen to him laugh forever, I would. He's looking at me quizzically, smiling. "What?" I ask and he looks away while shaking his head. His head quickly snaps back around to face me, however. "Right." He says, his face is straight and his tone serious. "I am sorry to inform you but as a part of my 'make Blair not so nervy' mission I am legally obliged to make you taste my ice cream." He informs me, smiling before sticking his tongue out and licking the entire thing to make sure that I will lick where he has, his jawline is noticeable as he does this and I ignore how good it looks. "Legally huh?" I say and he nods his head enthusiastically. I shake my head at him but agree. "Fine." Maybe my tastebuds have changed recently. He holds the cone out in front of me and I take a generous lick of the cold, sweet substance and immediately retract, shuddering at the too sweet artificial strawberry flavour. Hunter laughs at my reaction to the taste. "See? I told you. You're uncontrollable. Licking other guys ice creams when you have a boyfriend. Appalling." He says, shaking his head with a fake disapproving look on his face. I shove him with my shoulder. "I bet you planned that." I say and he grins, the light catching his hazel brown eyes. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't." He says and shrugs.
I'm suddenly interrupted by my phone ringing. Hunter sees Tessa's name and tells me to put it on speaker. I don't question it but answer, doing as he asked. I move over to the short wall and sit down, Hunter following. "Hey Tess. You alright?" I say as I answer. "Hey, B. What you doing right now?" She asks me over the phone. "I'm out." I tell her simply and she gasps dramatically. Hunter laughs silently, giving me a look that says 'see even your friends know' and I roll my eyes. "With Jax?" She asks. "No. With my new neighbour, Hunter." I tell her. "Ooh! It's a guy? Is he single?" She asks and I can practically hear her jumping up and down. I look at Hunter and he nods his head enthusiastically. "I umm I think so." I say, struggling not to laugh. "Great. Is he hot?" I look up at Hunter and examine his face. He has hazel brown eyes and pale, clear skin. His cheekbones and jawline are highly defined and his lips are pink and full, he's physically flawless. I snap back into reality seconds later to see him nodding his head again, slowly while mouthing 'yes extremely' and smirking at me. "I guess he is." I respond honestly and he nods, seemingly satisfied with my answer. "Can't wait to find out what he's like." She says as if she knows she'll meet him and soon.
Hunter quickly snatches the phone from my hand. "He--" I begin to say but he cuts me off by placing his forefinger to my lips, smiling and I am immediately completely distracted. Damn it Blair stop. You have a boyfriend. "I heard he's great in bed." He says confidently into the phone. I hear her gasp and say "Oh" over the phone before he hangs up. I burst into laughter with him, I can't help it just picturing her face. "She's going to kill me." I say when we finally pull ourselves together. "Don't worry. You're safe with me." He says, winking and I laugh.
"Should we start walking back?" Hunter asks and I nod my head, standing and beginning to walk towards home. "So do you hang out with Jax a lot? Like outside of yours and his houses?" He asks me as we pass the spot him and his 'friends' were standing on the way there. I still can't believe that he smokes now. I know it's not that bad it's just sort of a shock I guess cause he used to always say he would never do it. "We've been to the movies a few times. And he's generally at most parties I'm at." I tell him and he laughs. "Partiess? As in you've been to more than two?" He raises an eyebrow with a skeptical look on his face. "Indeed. I am quite the party animal." I inform him and he laughs. "You never do cease to impress." He states and I smile up at him. "Well maybe there's a whole other reckless side of me that you are yet to see." I say, knowing it's a lie but squinting up at him with an adventurous look in my eyes. "I'm telling you Blair. It's the strawberry ice cream." He informs me, still smiling and I laugh. "Okay. Whatever you say." I say as we walk up the street to our houses. When we reach my door he turns and smiles at me. "So I guess I'll see you later?" He says while smiling. "Yeh. See you later Hunter." I say softly and he flashes his grin at me, lifting his hand and giving me a quick wave before I walk into my house and up to my room.
