I sat at the table as the waiter came around for the 3rd time.
"Are you ready now?"
"um no, i need just 20 more minutes."
"Ok." she sighed and walked away. i sighed as well and looked at my watch.
2 hours. he stood me up. people started looking at me with apologetic stares.
I grabbed my purse as i wiped a tear.
then this guy ive never seen before came up to my table.
"sorry im late babe, traffic was crazy!"
i looked at him as he leaned in.
"Im keith. just go with it, Yea?"
I sat back as i decided to go with it, plus he was the cutest thing ive ever seen.
"So who were you with?" i asked.
"Uh no one. I'm in the same predicament as you."
"Really? You?"
"Yes. Cute people get stood up too."
"Wow. Kinda full of yourself. What you guys here for?"
"Nah just confident. and uh, first date."
"Oh. It was mine too."
"Oh wow. We're about to leave?"
"Yea, go to an old diner."
"Deanas Diner? I love that place."
"You tryna go?"
"Sure, lets go. Check please!"
