Fog

"So how'd your training go today?" I asked Lucas that night. He shrugged.

"Okay I guess. The tutor just explained that with fae time magic, when we want to mess with time our brain, which can produce magic, sends messages to our heart, which also produces magic, to send the magic out through my hands or my head, depending on what I want to do. When it reaches my forehead or my fingertips it cools or boils the blood and seeps out of my skin as an invisible vapor or mist and affects the time in a certain area. All the buildups of stopped time areas keep us from having the normal amount of days in February. But the whole leap year situation has nothing to do with magic. That's all science stuff."

"You just made magic sound like science." I informed, smirking.

"Whatever. What'd you learn?" He asked.

"Pretty much the same, except storm magic affects the weather, how drastic the weather is depends on how concentrated the magic is. Me being a special case, if I want to create lightning my blood boils, and if I want to make it rain or control water my blood cools. Droughts happen when a storm is controlled and forced to go another way." I explained. Lucas nodded, but his eyebrows furrowed.

"What about winds?" I stared at the ceiling.

"My tutor says I'll never be able to control just winds because when my blood boils it creates lightning and thunder, when a normal fae's blood boils they create winds. I can only bring winds in with my storms, which is strange, so says my tutor, because my blood cools for storms." I said, trying not to get frustrated.

"Why wouldn't you be able to do winds? You should be able to produce two different types of magic, storm and electricity." Lucas informed.

"Because the two types are so closely related, and I also have fire magic too, a multi-type magic was created for me to use. The fire magic is weird too, my tutor said I shouldn't have been able to control the smoke when...you know. She said only earth-soul fae or extremely talented earth fae can do that." Lucas looked over at me sharply.

"You don't think-"He started

"I don't know." I interrupted. He stood up and pulled me up by my hands.

"Come with me. We're going outside to train." He said, leading me out the door and down the hall. I roll my eyes and slide my hand out of his, keeping pace. He looked over at me with hurt and slight anger passing through his eyes.

"You realize I can read you like a book, right?" I informed quietly, quite sure we were not supposed to be up and about past curfew.

"And what have you learned?" He asked, looking down a hallway and making his way to the back door.

"That you're really possessive over me." I said. Lucas grunted in response.

"At least you can't read my thoughts." He said under his breath.

"But Eli can." I replied, still following along. Lucas snapped his head back to look at me with narrowed eyes.

"What?" He hissed.

"You said 'at least you can't read my thoughts' and I replied 'but Eli can' implying that I can always go to him if I want to know your thoughts." I told him. "Are you feeling alright?" I smiled slightly.

"Fine. But I didn't say that out loud. I thought it." He said. My jaw dropped.

"What?"
