THIRTY FIVE

We arrived back and Henry dropped me off. He wanted to open the door for me but I told him no and immediately opened the car door so he wouldn't jump out and do it. I watched as the car left, before I headed back inside, only to be greeted by Morgan and Angel.

"Hello stranger." Morgan said, same two words Henry said to me earlier when he saw me sitting outside. Angel was smiling right behind Morgan. They looked... Happy. I was expecting that, in some way, they would be mad at me. I've been trying to stay away from them.

"We haven't seen you in a while. Did you forget about us?" Angel joked as she grabbed my arm. Morgan grabbed the other and we all started to walk, or at least my feet walked wherever they were dragging me. We ended up at the gardens right outside the library.

"Where have you been? We were looking for you." Angel said as she sat down next to me, Morgan right in front of me.

"I was out. I had some errands to do. I saw Henry. Actually he dropped me off. He was with me during my errands." I said and the look on their faces changed.

"Errands?" Morgan said, teasingly.

"Yeah. I was sitting outside when he caught me, and he offered to drive me and he was very insistent so..." I could see the look on their faces. They were smiling and giggling at each other.

"What errands did you exactly do?" Angel said and the two laughed and I groaned.

"I'm serious. We did. The he ended up dragging me all the way to his mom's place for lunch. I thought we were going elsewhere but I ended up there." I said and the two had their jaws practically dropped to the floor.

"You met Dr. Celina Taylor?" Angel said. Henry's mother's last name is Taylor?

"She's an anesthesiologist, do they get called doctor too?" Morgan asked.

"Aren't they doctors too?" Angel asked back.

"We've never even met his mom. And we've known him longer. Wow, Henry must really like you." Morgan said as she crossed her legs above the table.

"Well he was supposed to be there anyway." I said and the two kept staring at me.

"What?!" I said and the two began to scoff and laugh.

"Okay, well no one has met Henry's mom. Except Wesley. We've known Henry for a while and we've never met his mom, yet you did. Henry really does like you." Angel said. What is with all this Henry really likes you crap?

"He doesn't like me. We're friends. If he hadn't seen me earlier I probably wouldn't have met his mom. It just so happens we were together at the time." I said and the two looked at each other, before looking back at me.

"He likes you." The both of them said and I just gave them a look.

"Did he tell you he likes me?" I asked and the two shook their heads.

"Then why are you saying he likes me?" I said and the two of them groaned.

"Are you blind? He likes you." Morgan said and I refused to believe them.

I don't think Henry likes me. These two might just be blind or bored out of their minds. They probably were just taking this whole me meeting Henry's mom to a new level. I spent the next few hours trying to convince the two they were wrong, but like Henry, they were pretty stubborn.

When night fall came, I headed back to my room and found Jacqueline putting some of her dirty clothes on the hamper. She smiled and greeted me as I got in. I took off my shoes and she approached me, holding one what appeared to be a really small seashell.
