In the middle of it all, I found myself being able to pull away and grabbing a drink. When I turned around I was surprised to see Morgan behind me.
"God, you scared me." I said and laughed nervously. Morgan just smiled at me and took my drink and drank it in front of me. What the fuck is her problem?
"Are you okay?" I asked and Morgan just placed the glass down.
"You and Henry sure are getting close." Morgan commented. Was she jealous?
"I guess." was all I managed to say. I didn't want anything happening between us. I wasn't afraid of Morgan, but I didn't need to have another person hating me at this party. And Morgan is Henry's friend, and I, in some twisted way, consider her a friend too.
"If you like him, don't worry. We're just friends." I said and Morgan chuckled.
"I'm not into Henry. Well, I am but I don't care if he likes you more than me. Just don't rub it in Wesley's face." Morgan said, a glare was left with me before she walked away.
Did Wesley tell her he liked me? And was Wesley really getting hurt at how close me and Henry was?
I was beginning to feel bad. I didn't want Wesley to feel hurt. After he was so kind to share me his favorite spot with his mom. And he did find a way to make my day wonderful after what had happened on Friday. I felt like I owed him a clarification at least, and finally just let him tell me up front if he did like me a certain way.
I went around the party, trying to look for him. I spotted Morgan in a conversation with two girls who looked like models. She fit right into that little circle. Angel on the other hand was being lecture by a cosmetic surgeon on her choices of food. I watched as he grabbed her plate and proceeded to tell her the dangerous effects of meat on her skin.
I walked further away and into a more quiet room. I began to hear some confrontational voices. I walked a bit closer but made a step back when I saw Henry and his mom talking.
"I don't like her. And if you intend to parade her as your girlfriend then don't." Celina said.
"So what if she does become my girlfriend? I like Alex, what's that to you? What's your problem with her? You just met her!" Henry fought back.
Henry likes me?
"Well I don't like her. And you don't know her family like I do Henry. Trust me sweetheart, she isn't good for you. What about Morgan? She's a wonderful girl." Celina said as she kept pushing Morgan to Henry further. I had to admit, I did think that they would end up together perfectly.
"I don't like Morgan like that. She's just a friend okay? And it's too complicated. You don't know Morgan like I do either. And I know Alex better than you. I like her. She's so fun to be around, I can be so open with her." Henry said and it felt good hearing someone fighting for me like that.
I've never had someone fight for me like that.
"Henry, her family is-"
"I know what her family is okay." Henry cut her off.
"I know about her family. We talk. That's why I know her better than you." Henry said and I began to hear footsteps. I run to the side trying to make sure I'm not seen. I see Henry, angrily walking away. I come out of the shadows and before I could even follow him Celina catches me.
"Eavesdropping. That's something you and your mother have in common." She says. I turn around, I didn't know if I should comment on that. I didn't like being compared to my mother at all.
"You walk in and suddenly my son is talking to me like that. He never talks to me like that." Celina said, I could hear the angry vile tone in her voice. She stared me down, and I had to admit I was more than terrified right now.
