     Optimus jolted awake, his spark racing faster then he thought it could. He held his helm in his servos, he then quickly glanced to where (y/n) would sleep. Relaxing after seeing her resting form, gentally laying back down next to her. He wrapped his arms around her spinal strut and pulled her closer to his frame, as if protecting her. She stirred slightly but eventually snuggled into his warmth, giving a sleepy sigh. Optimus smiled and closed his optics, trying to fall into recharge again. He couldn't due to the feeling of his nightmare, he opened his optics and watched as his femme slept agianst his chassis. He gave a faint smile, and decided he'd tell her when she awoke from recharge.

*timeskip/ (y/n)'s pov*

I awoke from recharge agianst my sparkmate's chassis, due to his louder venting i could tell he wasn't in recharge. "Morning Optimus." I yawned slightly as i spoke, the mech vented loudly. "Good morning, (Y/n)." Something was off,"Optimus, what's wrong?" He stared down at me, sadness circling in his beautiful blue optics. I hugged my Sparkmate who nuzzled himself into my neck cables, this wasn't unusual for him to do. He was very cuddly when it came to being out of public. But this was different, infact Optimus was silently crying in my neck cables. "I had a nightmare (Y/n), one where you died and infected me then i awoke." He cried quietly. Wishing that could take away his pain,"Optimus look at me." I ordered the mech willingly looked down at me. "It was just a nightmare, im here. Im alive, im not a zombie. Zombies are fake." I spoke softly, i grabbed his servo and guilded it to my spark chamber. Resting it on my chassis, the humming of my spark reassured the mech. He rested his forhelm agianst mine, I watched him close his optics softly. "It just scared me..." He whispered softly, I sighed and cuddled him."Its okay, I'm never going to leave you."
