Fury's POV:
After the meeting was over and everybody was clearing out I caught Natasha's attention and drew her to the side, out of earshot. Instantly she demanded answers. "Why would you invite a security risk to join the team!?" She hissed."Calm down. It's just a behind the scenes thing. His initiation won't be made public, this is simply the best way to keep an eye on him. We don't want this public any more than he does, trust me."
Natasha sighed. "You're the boss. But I don't like this."
"You don't have to like this, Romanov, just keep an eye on him and update me frequently."
The master assassin nodded and stalked back down the hall, signalling the end of the conversation.

Percy's POV:
It was the next morning and my well rested, rag tag group of godly beings - and swords - were gathered in my bathroom for a meeting. The reason for it being held in my bathroom was due to cameras. A man like Tony Stark would have the place tugged with bugs and cameras, something we couldn't afford to get caught up with. Hence our solution - my bathroom.
To save space, Jack was in pendant form and hung from Magnus' neck. Magnus himself sat next to Alex in the bathtub against the far left wall. Will sat in the bottom of the shower, which was opposite the bathtub and Thor stood guard at the door, preventing any curious residents from peeking in. Sam sat against the right wall and I, whom had been dubbed the leader of this mission, sat upon the toilet seat. The lid was down- obviously.
I decided to start the meeting. "We can't all stay here." I state.
I'd been expecting at least one protest, but everybody was silent. It was understandable. Nobody wanted their secret to be discovered. Although, Alex had already kind of given them self away earlier, but thankfully none of the Avengers had brought it up. But living in a base full of people who dealt in supernatural? Not the best way to keep a secret.
"Who leaves?" Sam asked.
I nibbled my lower lip. "Thor and I have to stay. That much won't change. But you four don't need to be dragged into this. You can all return. I'm sure you three in particular have duties to get back to in Valhalla." I said.
Sam nodded in agreement. "I don't think I can stay away from my Valkyrie responsibilities much longer. And somebody might notice those two are supposed to be dead if anybody does a little digging." Alex looked unhappy, but still understanding shone on the bathtub dwellers' faces.
"I don't need to go." Will protested. "You'll need a doctor and you get into enough trouble as it is and-"
"And camp needs you." I butted in. "You're the head councillor of the Apollo cabin for Hades' sake. Your siblings need you. You don't have to feel obligated to stay here for whatever reason it is that ties you to me."
Will looked away, knowing my facts were right. I suspected he only stayed because Nico and I were friends. I'm an attachment to a memory fast fading. He knew there were people here mostly capable of looking after me - assuming I let them near me - and if worst comes to worst Thor can hurt do his thing. But Will needed to go back. I pointed out my facts until Will slumped against the shower wall, admitting defeat.
I looked at the saddened teen. He was so much happier with Nico around. I shook my head to shake off the rising memory and quickly spoke, "Meeting adjourned."
Now we just had to explain why the four demigods the Avengers had offered refuge to were disappearing the next day.
We went with the story that Sam had was in a job and as part of her training she had to mentor another new trainee and that Will's dad needed him. Magnus and Alex had school to go back to and they were only allowed on the short trip to help a couple of family friends.
Nobody had questioned them until the four demigods were almost out the door, when Tony looked as if he'd been struck by lightning. "Hey!" He shouted after us. "What about the flying sword and the person who changed into an animal."
I pretended I hadn't heard the billionaire and waved at them as they loaded into a cab that had been summoned. "Bye! Safe travels!"
"Wait!" Tony yelped, but I muffled it with my own voice as I farewelled them. By the time Tony caught up to us they were gone. The billionaire gave me a dirty glare. "You know what they did. How did they do that?" He accused.
"How did who do what? Do I know what they did?" I played innocent, but I knew my eyes betrayed me as anything but.
Receiving no answer, I deemed the conversation over and headed back inside.

Loki's POV:
I didn't have much time. There was unrest among those in the corridors. Mutterings under a tormentors breath, a rant of insanity. One might disregard such things but I filed each word away.
Something was coming.
Something big.
Undoubtedly, I would be called into action eventually, and if that happened there was little chance of me escaping.
Time was ticking and I needed an escape route.
Of course, I had escaped this place once upon a time, but only barely, not to mention it was centuries ago. I could allow myself to wander into the river of Dream and through what one might call 'lucid dreaming' I could find my escape. But in turn I risked losing my own sanity.
Is that not what you already risk as you rot here?
My chain of thought was interrupted by the opening of a door. Instantly the room shifted to that of a medieval dungeon style. In through the door stepped the same tormentor I had faced since I got here.
It stopped for a moment and examined me. I noticed something flash in the palm of its hand, but it was quickly hidden from my view. It studied me curiously again, but seemingly satisfied with whatever it had found it continued its advance.

Unknown POV:
Something had been here. Something had been here in my lair. Not human. Not entirely. Something... different...But it didn't seem intentional either. Something drawn here by one of the inhabitants. One of my inhabitants has a link to the outside world.
But who...
With a snarl it became obvious. That dammed god! He'll have to be closely watched.
Something on the shelf glinted, making itself known.
And there is the key...

No-one's POV:
Through the haze of pain, Loki had failed to notice the new mark on his arm. He failed to notice how suddenly weak he'd become upon its appearance. The reversed mark of his given rune 'Kaedo', or 'Wildfire'. 'Chaos' was also another of its names. The rune when righted is powerful, but it can be traced, especially when backwards. Because all magic leaves a trail, even those who try their hardest to cover their tracks. And from the darkness of a chaotic realm, an ancient creature grinned.
