In order to get more information Jungkook had to suck in his pride and attend the gala. He needed to penetrate Jimin's world in order to understand how he worked.
Jungkook walked up the steps leading to the hotel entrance fixing his suit, even though he was uncomfortable in this type of environment he had to admit he had at least cleaned up well and had taken the risk of renting a 2,000 dollar suit.
A group of women stop to admire him as he walks up the steps, he casts them one glance before continuing his way up.

The automatic glass doors slid open as he reached them and he stepped in, shoving his hands into his pockets as his doe eyes glanced around at the luxurious lobby.
Everything seemed golden and expensive, he felt like he'd break something just by looking at it, or stain one of the expensive looking panting on the walls if he walked too close to them, the crystal lights above his head danced reflecting the golden tinted lights down on him.
His doe eyes searched the crowded hotel lobby for Park Jimin.
He wasn't too sure if Jimin had anything to do with the murders that have been repeatedly occurring but he felt like he knew something Jungkook had missed or ignored about the case.
Three years, a serial killer case that was going on for three whole years, making the police an embarrassment to the entire society.
Jungkook had never dealt with a case like this, he was used to getting the job done in 5 months top, there wasn't an investigation that he was a part of that lasted this long and when Officer Lee, one of the top five greatest officers of the city approached him and asked for his help he knew they would catch the killer in no time.
Only things didn't happen the way Jungkook expected them to, on the contrary they became worse.
Detectives were disappearing, the other four top officers were found dead and now Officer Lee the one who was in charge of the case had gone missing, Jungkook didn't want to jump to conclusions but it would've been stupid of him to not notice a pattern.
The killer obviously had a problem with people snooping into his business but there was something else about the killers methods that ticked Jungkook off...
The killer seemed to have another motif, he didn't seem to personally have a problem with police officers or investigators but there must've been something about those victims that had pushed him to get rid of them not just a desperate act for privacy.
Now that Jungkook was in charge he was about to show this killer just how good he was at snooping into other people's business. He knew he had to be careful but that didn't mean he was going to sit behind his desk and wait for things to drop onto his lap, no, he was going to go out and look for anything his gut told him was linked to the case and right now that was Park Jimin.
