With his hands shoved deeply in his pockets and back leaning against one of the large white pillars of the building, Taehyung watches Jimin who paces calmly in front of him.
Compared to earlier tonight both men were calm and posed.
The anger, the jealousy, the sadness, the guilt, the fear, everything they had felt a couple of hours ago was gone, only to be replaced with one thing...
Determination.
Jimin hears the sound of Jungkook's motorcycle approaching and stops his pacing.
He lifts his head as the headlights hit his eyes but he doesn't flinch. The engine sound becomes louder and louder, announcing Jungkook's presence.
Jimin's jaw clenches, a feeling of inferiority filling him as he recalls Taehyung's words from earlier.
"Looks like he's more than you and I put together"
No, no one was more than him, not even a fucking god...
Jungkook parks his motorcycle and looks right at the two men standing not far from him.
A slow grin makes its way to his lips as he climbs off the bike and brushes the shoulder of his tux before approaching the two men with a slow and calculated walk.
Jimin lifts his chin. eying Jungkook from head to toe.
He was dressed in a black tux, white chemise and a black bow tie, his dark bangs hanging above his eyes.
"Officer Jeon" Jimin says and then takes a step back, hands raised mockingly.
"Wait the last time I said that to your face, you threw a punch at me" he jokes and Jungkook grins, lifting his chin.
"Yeah and yet here we are for a boys night out as if nothing happened" Jungkook points out and Jimin chuckles.
"I figured after that punch the both of us just had to try and get along for the sake of the investigation" Jimin explains and Jungkook looks behind him at Taehyung who was watching them before looking back at Jimin.
