Define Me

Lunch was good today and thankfully Kenji and I both managed to get ourselves the last two bacon rolls, Kenji had joked that ‘it was fate and not mere coincidence that brought the two of them together in perfect harmony.’ 

I am happy that Kenji treats me the same as he always does, some people behave differently around me now because of my position, I think they fear the power I hold, and the name I carry.  That name means so many different horrific things to different people, whose children have been murdered, whose houses have been stolen, whose sons have been forced into war and solitude. 

I want to change that.

I am going to re-establish the reestablishment and rebuild what we once called home.  The world is literally in my hands and I have the power to mould it into shape.  It is probably going to take as long as my life and probably, most definitely longer than that to succeed, but I believe in myself now and as long as I continue to, I know I can achieve whatever I want to.

We decided to stay in the sector headquarters until reconstruction of omega point is finished.  Yes, we are rebuilding omega point, many of us ‘the omegas’ (people with powers) thought that we needed a place to relax,  help young omegas harness their powers, and teach them the right and wrongs of using them.  Kenji, Adam and Alia are the main ones helping out with that, and Kenji is going to run the whole place, which I know he is extremely looking forward to, he already has a timetable for all these different activities and trips and stuff.  It’s so nice to see him finally settled and happy, it makes me happy too.

I was so caught up in deep thought; I hadn’t noticed Warner slip into the room.  I felt a pair of muscular arms surround me and I squealed, quickly turning around and slamming right into his bare chest. 

I heard a soft chuckle, like velvet and I looked up into his eyes, angrily. 

‘Don’t creep up on me like that!’ I cried.

His eyes met mine, and then he tilted my face up to his and whispered in my ear, ‘why, did I scare you?’

My heart was beating so fast now, partly because I nearly had a heart attack and partly because when he whispered in my ear like that, all my senses came to life and I felt the menacing fire which ignited as he spoke the words, daring me to respond.

But I swallowed my beating heart and decided it was his turn to be scared.

I pushed him away from me, and he staggered backwards, slightly shocked.  He was about to form a word but I pulled him daringly by his belt and threw him on the bed.  Somehow I managed to land on top of him and I stared down at him summoning up a seductive grin.

Warner looked up at me his face so surprised I wanted to laugh and savour the moment forever ‘God Juliette’ he breathed, and then he leaned up to me and pulled me into him, our bodies crashing into each other, all passion and heat.  His arms left trails of sensation as they danced over my back and through my hair and in that moment we were so perfectly beautiful.

Then he broke free of the kiss and grasped me by the side of my face as gently as if I was made from porcelain, ‘You, my love, are one hell of a flame’ his sad eyes teared through me to the heart which filled with burning love and hope, I hope that every day will be like this I wished as I fell helplessly next to warner and curled up with an arm outstretched around him.
