His brown eyes soften as you ask this question and he lowers his hand and takes a step closer to you but you back away, he raises both hands.

"I'm not going to hurt you" he says softly and you sneer and lower your eyes.

"You have no idea how many times I've heard those words before" you say and he stops in his tracks.

You watch as his expression switches from warmth to intrigued. His eyes slowly dance up from your feet to your face as if fascinated.

"You remind me of a rough edged ruby" he suddenly says and you blink. 

"What?" you ask confused and he gives you a little smile, coming down from his thoughts.

"Has anyone ever told you how extremely beautiful you are?" he breathes out and his words dance down your skin and you shiver

"I'm nothing special" you shrug and he shakes his head.

"That's where you're wrong, I see so much in you" he says softly and you watch his eyes carefully, there's  a look in them that confuses you.

You've never seen any man look at you like that before.

What was he seeing in you?

"People like you shouldn't even be seen with people like me" you say and he frowns.

"People like you?" he scoffs and licks his lips.

"Darling you and I are the same" he says and you swallow hard as he takes another step forward.

"Trust me when I say I see it" he says and you frown.

"How, how are we the same?" you ask and he smiles at you.

"Every single thing about you is different from me. Where you grew up, the kind of education you had, the clothes you wear, your life experiences, everything, everything is different" you tell him

He slowly holds out his hand again, "let me show you" he says softly and you look at his hand again and then look into his eyes and once again there is that look...

Why was he looking at you like you were...special?

You slowly take out your own hand and slip it into his "Jimin was it?" you ask and he nods.

"Park Jimin" he tells you and you nod.

"Ryu Y/N" you say softly and his smile widens.

"Ryu Y/N" he repeats and you like the way your name rolls off his tongue.

"Nice to meet you" he says and you watch him as he brings your hand towards his lips and presses a delicate kiss on the back.

END OF FLASHBACK

You open your eyes and continue to stare up at the stars and you feel the tears in your eyes.

You felt angry, sad, confused, hurt, guilty, and proud and it was driving you crazy.

Your true self was battling with the one demon inside of you.

You didn't want to let her take over, you never wanted to betray Jimin but you were hurt, you swore on your life that you'd always be loyal to him but was that loyalty one sided?

The voice inside of your head keeps telling you that you did the right thing but if you started agreeing with her you were afraid something was going to change.
