A New Strider (Striders x Reader)

"Okay, Feferi is here," you call out as you slip you hoodie on, looking down at the limo that was parked outside, "I'll be back sometime tonight!"

"Alright then!" you hear Bro call out before you step out of the door.

As you descend the stairs, you make sure you have your phone and them money that Bro gave you. As you reach the bottom of the stairs you see the familiar happy brown haired girl smiling, and the not so happy dark haired boy.

"Hi Feferi, Eridan."

"Hey (y/n)!" Feferi chirps happily.

"Hi..." he mumbles unenthusiastically.

"Wow, as happy as ever, huh Eridan." You chuckle.

"Of course."

You grin, "well, let's get going."

"Sure thing," Feferi nods, "we need to go get Sollux and then it's straight to the gala."

You hear Eridan groan at the name Sollux, but push it aside as you all walk out of the building. You all hop into the limo, you and Eridan on one side and Feferi on the other.

"So (y/n), how do you like it here?"

"It's nice," you shrug, "didn't think I'd get comfortable so quick."

"Well, that's good," She hums, "so what was it like back at home?"

You freeze as soon as she finishes her sentence.

"Oh, uh, it was, okay," you stutter, "but some things happened and I ended up here."

You see that Feferi looked worried, before she just nods and smiles, "oh, okay."

You sigh and try to ignore the question, you just want to enjoy today.

"Ooh, we're here."

When Feferi said this you notice Eridan from the corner of your eye, pulling a face.

"Why so sour, buttercup." You grin, looking over at the boy.

Eridan momentarily gets flustered before pouting. This causes you to giggle and roll your eyes. Just as this happens the door opens, revealing a teen in dual coloured shades and honey brown hair. He hops in and takes a seat beside Feferi, greeting her. Sollux notices you and nods.

"Oh, right," Feferi giggles, "Sollux, this is (y/n), the new student."

"Nice to meet you." You nod.

"Likewise."

Sollux glances at Eridan and smirks, "long time no see, nerd."

Eridan just grumbles and sinks further into his seat.

"Oh please get along, just for today." Feferi pleads.

The two boys look over at Feferi and sigh.

"Fine."

"Whatever."

You decide to talk, because otherwise you'd have to deal with awkward silence.

"So, Sollux," you begin, "why haven't you been at school?"

"Oh, went on a trip with my old man and brother," he shrugs, "went to England, damn its dreary there."

"Sure is an interesting place." You agree.

"Oh, have you been there?"

"Uh, yeah, when I was like 5, it rained the whole time."

It only took 15 minutes to get to the park, and there was constant chatter the entire ride. Well, except from Eridan, who looked like a pouty child. You hop out of the vehicle and awe at the sight. There were so many stalls! And the delicious smell of food drifted into your nose, making your mouth water.

"Alright, let's go have a look around."

You nod and walk beside Feferi, excited at all of the interesting things. There were stall with all sorts of things you could buy. You notice things such as knitted pillow covers and blankets, and even a pizza stall. You could hear Eridan and Sollux behind the pair of you, quietly arguing, you could even hear the pair hitting each other lightly. They were being almost silent, as to not alert Feferi as to what they were doing.

"Wowee, look at that!"

You look up to where Feferi was pointing to see a giant ride of sorts; it had a sturdy middle piece, and then two giant rotating arms that spun. How did you not see that before? You look at Feferi to see her grinning. You return to grin and nod.

"Alright!" you both shout and begin to run towards the ride.

The boys make strangled, almost confused sounds before taking off after the pair of you.

"Hey, wait up!"
