"Oh, come on, you have to admit it's a pretty good horror movie," you pout, "it isn't the scariest, but it's good about the tradition of Halloween."
"I'm pretty sure you just like that movie because you think that weird demon thing is cute." Karkat rolls his eyes.
"I mean, Samhain is adorable," you agree, "but I do like this movie."
"Horror movies are so... gross." You hear Eridan grumble.
"Well, you're probably just a scaredy cat." You poke your tongue at him.
"I am most certainly not." He argues.
"I don't believe you." you grin.
"I'll prove it!"
You pause, "and how do you suppose you do this?"
"Movie night?" Karkat suggests.
"Fine, this weekend we'll have a movie night," you smile.
"Okay, we can meet at my place." Eridan agrees.
"Sweet." You chime, taking a bit of your cake.
You could almost see the regret on Eridan's face. You hide the grin on your face by shovelling another large spoonful of cake in your mouth. Eridan glances at you, pouting at your not so successful attempt at hiding your amusement. Karkat hadn't noticed your short interaction as he had continued to talk. You had never seen him talk so much before.
You weren't sure about what he had now changed to subject to, but you didn't mind, you just wanted to enjoy the nice atmosphere.

"Alright, have any problems just call me." Dirk tells you as he pulls up to Eridan's house.
"Will do, thank you." you smile, grabbing your bag and hopping out of the car.
As soon as you walk up to the front of the large house you wanted to change your mind and head back to the car. But you hear the car drive off, too late now. You knock on the door, waiting for a response.
Eventually the door swings open to reveal a taller troll with slicked back hair, he had quite the resemblance to Eridan, and so you assumed he was his older brother.
"Hi, I'm here to see Eridan."
He grins, "oh, so your one of his little friends."
"Sure am."
"Well, come in," he tells you, opening the door further to let you in, "upstairs, third door to the right."
"Okay, thank you." you smile before brushing past him and heading upstairs.
The house was so much bigger inside than it looked; the cold white walls were lined with painting and other art. You hum in mild interest at the harpoon gun that hung on the wall of the stair landing.
When you got to the door you saw that it was open, so you just walk in. The first thing you see is Karkat's hair poking up from the couch. You grin, creeping forward silently.
"RAGHHH!"
"AHHHH!"
Karkat nearly flies straight out of his seat. His head flies around to glare at you.
"You dickweed." he growls.
You chuckle, ruffling his hair, "oh, come on."
"What in the fresh f- oh, (y/n)." you look behind you to see Eridan walk into the room, arms full of various snacks.
"Hey-o!" you greet him enthusiastically.
"Man, you must be excited to scare the hell out of yourelf." Karkat grunts.
"Bold of you to assume I get scared from movies," you shrug, "so what movies have we got in store for tonight?"
"Well, I thought we'd start with Trick 'r Treat since you seem to love that movie," Eridan tells you, Scream, Psycho, Hereditary and Halloween."
"Sweet, let's get the spooky train going."
You leap over the couch, landing beside Karkat, your bag landing roughly on the floor in front of you.
"Damn it (y/n)!" Karkat yells when he gets a heel to the leg.
"Oops, sorry."
"Alright, let's start." Eridan takes a seat on the opposite side of Karkat.
You grab one of the bags of chips and open it, already stuffing your face.
"Try not to eat all of the food before the first movie finishes."
You elbow Karkat, causing him to hiss in pain. You grin as you stuff another handful of chips in your mouth.
