Request: "How would Mccree, Genji, Hanzo, and Reaper react to their s/o wanting to learn their fighting skills, so they can be better at defending themselves and maybe fight by their side one day?"

McCree

He's all for teaching you the basics

He likes to know that his partners can take care of themselves, especially when he's far away on missions and the like

Buys you your first gun, teaches you how to clean it and where to keep it

Plus the basic combat stuff, of course

When he's sure you got the basic stuff down, he's totally fine with teaching you the next bout of stuff

He teaches you in levels

When he gets wary is when you bring up fighting next to him someday

He can't bear the thought of losing you, especially in battle while you're under his watch

It'll take hella convincing to get him to even consider the idea

If you can do that, then you have to really impress him with the knowledge you already have from his training

After that, he starts to hardcore train you on the really rough stuff

No mercy

If you're going out on the field, you have to be r e a d y

He also bothers his allies to help create a durable suit to keep you even safer

Genji Shimada

He'd happily teach you self-defense stuff

He probably wouldn't go as far as teaching you the stuff regarding his katana and throwing stars but he could show you a few moves if you asked

Just to show for the time being, though; he wouldn't want you to get over your head with more elaborate training

When you mention fighting alongside him someday, he doesn't protest

Actually, he agrees that you would be a good member to join the fight

That being said, if you want to do that, you'll have to be trained by more than just himself

He'll help you set up some professional training and work with agents and the like so you can truly be prepared

Of course, he'll still train you one-on-one and help you improve, but there's only so much he can do

He'll spar with you too, once he thinks you're ready for it

Always makes sure you're taking breaks and taking care of yourself during your training

Hanzo Shimada

He supports the idea of you defending yourself, so he trains you with those things in mind

Teaches you basically everything but his own personal techniques and tricks that literally can only be done by him

Makes sure you're never overwhelmed and that you're capable of the things he's teaching you, but also doesn't go easy on you

Your opponents would never go easy on you, you know?

Now, he's definitely not a fan of you actively wanting to put yourself in danger (i.e. fighting alongside him) for obvious reasons

He doesn't want you to get hurt or worse, and if you do, he'll feel like it's his fault for encouraging it

That being said, he also thinks that the more heroes there are the better, and you definitely have the heart to be a hero

In the end, he gives in to training you for not only self-defense but for battle

If you thought he was being harsh on you before, you were oh so very wrong

He also enlists the help of acquaintances to give you a variety of training as well as to help you get set up with the equipment you need

Reaper

He doesn't train you

He won't

Not because he doesn't want to help you but because he doesn't want to fight you

He also doesn't think he's the best person to give you the best training

Instead, he sets you up with a few of the best Talon instructors to give you the proper training you'd need, both in hand-to-hand combat and with weapons

When you bring up fighting alongside him someday, he refuses immediately

He is 110% not okay with it

He spends a huge part of his time and energy trying to make sure you're safe and loved and happy

For you to want to go out of the field to get hurt or worse kills him

He is and will always be against it

Still, it's ultimately your choice, and if you choose to go through with it anyway, you'll be given the training and equipment you need

If you choose to be a Talon agent, you will be treated as one

He will never support the possibility of you getting hurt but he won't stop you and try to take away your free will

He'll provide you with what you need and hope to god he'll be able to stay close enough on the field in case things go south

Losing you like he's lost everybody else would be the end of him
