Help this poor boy who's always been in too much of a pickle his entire life to ever get a proper pet

He tries to act chill about it

But honestly, he's practically vibrating with excitement

It doesn't take him too long to crack; as soon as the puppy in your arms and lets out the smallest of boofs, he loses his mind

The pup's a mutt with the heart of a hound dog

And Jesse, bless his heart

Being oh-so creative with his names

Names this pup

It's a pup named Dog

Jesse has probably never loved something as much as he's loved you, but this pup certainly comes close

Pampers this dog as if it were his child

The best food

The best toys

Walks everyday

Carries the puppy around the house in his serape like it's a baby sling

The best training, including many tricks and guard tactics

You bet this man gets costumes for his dog too

A strong collar with a shiny ole tag

Not to mention a handkerchief that looks vaguely similar to McCree's serape always tied around it

At first, he is very much not pleased

He never wanted this

He never approved this

So why did you do this?

It takes him quite a while to warm up to the creature

It's very difficult to not like a dog when it's favorite thing in the world is you

The little bulldog follows him everywhere

At his heels at all times around the house

Sits or sleeps by his feet when he's sitting, usually at his desk doing work

It started when he began to involuntarily train the pup

She was so good at listening????

Despite she wouldn't stop crying unless she was in the bed with him at night

That's when his heart started to melt

He started taking her out on walks and when he went to work out

That's when he broke

Named her Becky

He never knew he needed a companion such as her until she stubbornly wriggled her way into his heart and under the blankets at the end of the bed

Plays with her all the time

Walks and runs every day

She has a nice bed in a nice kennel that she literally never uses

And you bet Jack splurged on a pretty rhinestone-studded collar with a bow for her

Moira

She's also not pleased at first

Like, why did it have to be a cat?

Why couldn't it be a fish?

Let alone a white one; have you seen her wardrobe made up of mostly dark colors???

At first, the little white kitty is totally your responsibility

After Moira refusing to name her, you name her Belle

The only attention she gets is being moved out of Moira's way and led away from Moira's projects via cat treats

Which, go figure, leads to Belle wanting her attention that much more

Moira's opinion shifts when you leave on a business trip and she has no choice but to take care of the cat

This results in a lot of naps with a purring kitty on her chest or lap, and her buying several cat toys and a cat tree to keep Belle busy

She comes to find just observing Belle and her unique behaviors is calming and somewhat comforting

Plus, she's a great alternative companion when you're gone

She's even taught Belle a trick or two by the time you get back

Oh, how the turns have tabled
