Maybe even breaks out the sentimental stories about how darkness has helped her and kept her sane during tough times in hopes of easing your mind

Regardless, she respects your wishes and does what she can to make things comfortable for you, especially at home

Keeps the lamp on at night or buys a simple nightlight

Gives you a small flashlight (perhaps on a necklace chain to wear or a key chain to clip onto your person) to keep on you just in case

One of her gifts to you is probably a glow in the dark knickknack or one of those teddy bears that light up when you squeeze their paw
