Stiles
"Stilinski, you seem a bit distracted today," Coach yelled as Stiles once again let Scott tackle him and block him from shooting. He hadn't really wanted to go to practice today anyways, so the not caring wasn't from lack of paying attention. It was just because he simply didn't care today. He did have a lot on his mind, but he couldn't help it.
"I just don't feel well," Stiles lied, letting Scott help him back up.
Coach rolled his eyes and Stiles gave him an innocent smile. "Practice is over in thirty minutes. I think you'll make it."
Stiles groaned and got back into line to continue with the exercise. He was beginning to consider walking away, but that would mean getting benched at the next game, and he didn't want to risk that. So he complied with Coach's wishes and finished out the practice. At the end, he was even grumpier than before, so he was more than happy to drown himself in the shower. He was the first one in and the last one out. He dressed himself in clean clothes and shoved everything else into his bag in a very unorganized fashion.
"Stiles, your man is here!" someone yelled from the other side of the locker room. Stiles gathered up his things and walked towards the door. He felt guilty when Theo was standing there and Stiles didn't feel happy to see him.
"Hey," Theo said with a grin. "I was hoping we could hang out today since you ditched me yesterday for homework." He was playful about it, but Stiles could only manage a small laugh that he knew wasn't convincing. Stiles felt bad about lying to him last night, but he couldn't exactly tell him over the phone that Derek was home. "What do you say?" Theo asked, after Stiles failed to answer him.
"Oh," Stiles mumbled, walking past him to get out the door. Theo followed eagerly behind him, waiting. "I have a huge test tomorrow and government homework, so maybe tonight isn't the best night," he made up, though he did have a test tomorrow. Not that it was hard, but he had to come up with a reason.
"I can help you study," Theo promised, giving him a sad look. Stiles felt awful about doing this to him, he just wasn't ready to talk yet. He needed another day to clear things up with Derek. "Stiles, come on. I miss you," he complained.
"I really can't tonight," Stiles said again, tightening his grip on his bag as they walked out into the parking lot. Stiles' heart almost lept out of his chest at the sight of Derek standing there, leaning against his camaro with his stupid sunglasses on. Stiles swallowed hard, glancing at Theo. "Uh, I'll be right back," he excused himself, starting towards Derek. Theo grabbed his arm, yanking him back. "Theo--"
"That's Derek, isn't it?" Theo accused, his face turning red with anger. "You didn't tell me he was here. Is that why you blew me off last night? You were with him?" Stiles had seen him angry before, but never towards him, and never as angry as he was right now. He had a tight grip on Stiles wrist and it was starting to hurt. "Stiles!"
Stiles was afraid to say something. He had never made Theo angry before because they'd only been together a couple months, so this was new. If he said the wrong thing, there was no telling how Theo would react. "Please, let go of me," Stiles begged, trying and failing to pull his arm away from him. "We can talk about this later, Theo. Just let me go."
