"what was that?" wang asked with a frown on her face. soon swallowed hard as she turned to look at her sister in law and niece trying to look cool even after seeing hyungwon with that woman.

"ah i... nothing, i was sneezing." she said nervously as she avoided being seen by the couple too.

it was finally their turn on the line and as wang ordered their ice creams, soon tried to cover her face with a hand, to not be seen by them.

"what flavor do you want soonie?" wang asked.

she cursed wang mentally for pronouncing her name so loudly. "tiramisu please."

and her nerves grew when the couple slowly walked past them. she knew she shouldn't look at them, it was the worst thing she could do.

but even with all that, her eyes moved in their direction and met briefly with hyungwon's.

both acknowledged each other's presence but the girl accompanying hyungwon was so absorbed in the conversation that she didn't realized that for a brief moment, her boyfriend locked eyes with this strange woman.

park soon felt her knees growing weak as she immediately tried to avoid hyungwon's intense stare.

he kept walking with his girlfriend hand in hand as their backs grew smaller in the distance.

soon felt as if she had ran out of air and suddenly felt the need to hold onto something.

she was real. he had a girlfriend and of course, she was beautiful.

she wondered how they've met, how they came to this point of their relationship in which he'd go out with her hand in hand, no minding the people's stares.

they looked amazing though. like a model couple. but it was clear she was way younger than him.

"soonie?" wang asked, shaking the ice cream bowl on her face. apparently she had spaced out for about a minute. "here's your ice cream. tiramisu?"

"a-ah... yes. thank you." she said grabbing the freezing cup. her head turned into the direction from where they disappeared but they weren't there to be seen.

"shall we go?" wang asked, taking her daughter by the hand as they walked away from the icre cream shop.

of course, soon didn't stop thinking about the couple for the rest of the evening or the night, for the matter.

when she arrived her lonely home, she fixed up a warm bath and submerged on those calming and scented water to tried and wash away hyungwon's images with the woman.

but it was difficult.

soon hated that woman the minute she looked at her. of course, she was pretty and young and fresh and probably very likeable, unlike her. she looked really focused in a conversation, all smiles as she held onto hyungwon's arm as if her life depended on it.

she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the memory.

that girl looked like a teenager in love, all of her body language was screaming that.

but with trouble and the help of pills again, she managed to go through the night, finally waking up 30 minutes before the alarm.

having sleeping troubles had become a habit since hyungwon reappeared in her life again.
