her heart raced as she made her way down street. hands sweating and temples throbbing, it was just like those days when she was about to have her therapy session with him.
difference was that in those times, her feelings were wrong and prohibited, that's why she'd feel so nervous.
but right now, there was no need to feel this way, especially since she was already separated from kihyun.
there was really nothing between them. nothing to stop them.
quickly she noticed the coffee's sign across the street and then she spotted his car, already parked in the parking lot.
she swallowed hard as she approached the scene. the parking lot was well illuminated, so she could see hyungwon's figure, leaning against the car, waiting for her with his arms crossed on his chest and a smile to die for.
"good afternoon professor park." his soothing voice somehow calmed her in that moment. she looked around, somehow feeling as she was being watched, but she knew it was probably her imagining things.
there was no way someone was following her.
"hey." she simply said smiling softly. she didn't know what was going on, but when he took a few steps close to her, she felt the nerves growing inside.
instinctively, she took a few back. hyungwon sighed and flashed a sad smile. "are you okay?" he asked, hands on his pockets.
she nodded. "it's just... i don't want to go home." she said hugging herself.
hyungwon frowned. "i was planning on buying you dinner but... i mean... you don't have a place to stay tonight or what?"
she shook her head. "no it's fine. i am staying at my brothers-
"why? what happened with your house?"
she sighed. "it's a long story." she sounded tired and hyungwon immediately knew this woman needed more than just a simple dinner.
he nodded softly. "alright. hop in." he said opening his car's door for her. she looked at him confused but then, she thought there was really nothing to lose.
she was a grown up woman and she could do anything she wanted.
she will text jinyoung and tell him she wouldn't spend the night then, so she should not be waited.
and with that, she sat on the passenger's seat of hyungwon's car, not knowing exactly where she was going or what she was doing, but giving him the benefit of the doubt.
in jinyoung's house she felt like a prisoner too, even if she knew they were doing everything to make her feel at home, there was something missing.
she glanced at hyungwon, whose eyes were on the road, one hand on the wheel and the other on the gear. "so... what's up?" he asked, glancing quickly at her.
"uh - she started, between a sigh - it's complicated."
hyungwon chuckled. "first you said it was a long story and now that's complicated?"
she turned to look at him, their eyes met for a second. "eyes on the road." she said pointing ahead of him.
he quickly turned his head, returning his eyes to the road. "so... i live far, we have time... tell me the long and complicated story."
