"i can't be locked in here for the next 3 hours!" she exclaimed looking for her phone on her bag, but hyungwon seemed resignated. he just walked around the cubicle with his hands on his pockets.
"you're not gonna get any signal here... they put it down so there are no interferences with the software update. it's useless." he said taking a seat on the floor, in a place he liked.
"what? no... this can't be happening." she said walking aroun with her phone held high trying to find a good place with reception. he sighed.
"it's just 3 hours... not the end of the world."
she glared at him, shaking her head. "you don't understand i had a di- a thing tonight... " she mumbled, thinking about how dissapointed kihyun would be. he'd probably be worried and that will lead to a discussion. she pictured it in her mind already.
"was it really important?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
she nodded.
"what was it?... if may i ask."
"you may not." she said finally giving it. indeed it was useless. there was simply no reception.
"aish... i can't believe it." she said taking leaning against the door, her ear on the cold wooden door to see if she could listen maybe to the cleaning lady or the night vigilante.
he stared at her, motionless, just admiring her.
"help!" she yelled but there was silence at the other side of the door.
"at least they left the a/c on." he commented playing with a leaf that was on the floor from a small plant that she had on her desk.
she turned around and looked at him with a resigned face. "yeah... it's cold already." she said walking towards him and taking a seat across him, facing him.
his back was against the cold wood of her desk. hers was against the wall across him. she stared at him. "you must be pretty upset."
he frowned but then laughed. "not at all... i had no plans tonight, so i am fine."
it was now her turn to frown. "no plans? really?" she seemed surprised and confused. he nodded.
"why are you so surprised?"
"with a young and beautiful girlfriend like yours? i am sorry... but it's hard to believe you have no plans on a friday night." she said playing with the hem of her dress.
he laughed. "ah... daesomie? well, she is a student remember? it's not like she dedicates 100% of her time to me. she has other things to do."
soon frowned. "like what?"
he shrugged. "she's part of the journalism club, she is volunteer in a geriatric and works as a part timer." he said looking into her eyes.
he knew her.
she sighed, hurt.
could kihyun even say what classes she had? he barely knew things about her.
"right... so busy."
he smiled. "probably way too much for her own good." he said with a warm tone.
"you seem too in love with her." she mumbled as she realized he had a certain glow as he spoke of her.
