I looked around silently, my gray eyes taking in everything in awe. After spending my life with dumb people, I am finally, where I belong, with smarter and more intelligent people. And all it took was me reciting a whole book from cover to cover even though I had to spend two years in a hell hole, meaning high school.

It has been a month, and I still couldn't believe how fortunate I was able to get out of that place before my brain rotted into pieces. Did they seriously suspect that I, Jessica Wallace, wouldn't be able to handle myself around older people? Most of them looked at me in disgust anyways, and I don't blame them. I had baby fat almost everywhere, making me look fatter than I was. I had braces, glasses, little boobs and butt, and I was definitely short, standing at 5'0.

But here, I finally found friends that understood me. Yes, they were in their early twenties, but to me that meant that I could ramble on about something, and they wouldn't be bored with the information that my young mind has possessed. I was with my equals, or fellow nerds if you must say.

"Jess," a voice said, breaking me from my thoughts as they turned darker with every insult that I was thinking about myself.

"Hmm?" I asked incoherently, not knowing what was said to me. I looked up to see my guide and first friend looking at me, a little annoyed. "What is it Jace?" I asked blinking a little to see him and get my mind out of it's dazed place.

Jace shook his head and sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, before glancing at his friends which consisted of mainly other males, who smirked a little. "I was wondering what your intake was to Newton's Law of Gravitation, but since you didn't answer... then I guess you didn't know it." I could tell that he was teasing me a little. There was a small smile on his face that showed his love for me. And well, I guess I can say that I loved him as an older brother, even though I did have one before a car crash, and I had one down in Georgia.

I scoffed a little, hiding back a small shiver as my mind wandered over to the event that changed my life. "Well, I would like to say that I didn't know it, but because of the fact that I graduated high school before any of you did, then I do know what that is. The gist of Newton's Law of Gravitation is that Newton discovered that two objects are attracted to each other and uses a formula which is expressed as F= Gm1m2/d^2,.or in other words the force of an object is equal to the mass of object one times the mass of object two and the gravitational constant, divided by the radius of the objects squared. By the looks of the laughing and smirk combination , I think I just made a person rich and then another person poor, so fess up that money." I glanced at the group and noticed that some of them were laughing.

"Oh, you are something else, Jess," Jace said with a grin on his face. Like me, he had braces. However, he stood about six inches taller than me, standing at 5'6 while I stood at exactly five feet.  He also had zits on his face, and I didn't have any, so I was glad about that. His black hair was in that nerd fashion, where it was slicked back with some sort of gel. "So, what are you planning on doing-" he stopped and looked over my shoulder. His face paled instantly before pulling me into a hug, much to my unheard protests. "Just don't move. Someone is looking at you," he whispered silently in my ear.

"You're squishing me," I muttered as I hugged him, letting him rest his chin on my head as I tried to struggle to breathe. "And you're pushing my glasses into my face, and it's hurting. If you rupture my skin with the glasses, then I'll sue you for some chocolate." A female's only love. Chocolate. My mouth watered a little as I thought about it, forgetting that I was being squished.

There were footsteps sounding as if they were getting close, and I could tell that the rest of the seven had moved around me and Jace. Why? I have no idea, and it was getting me a little annoyed. However, my heart was thundering in my chest with excitement, and I couldn't explain why it was doing that.
