After the meeting, I had spend my time sorting the stuff I had in my inventory. It took a while but it was enough to spend my time while waiting for the rest. Nova and Eris were sent to handle the supply for our journey. Mother went ahead to tell the village chief. Shade and the rest were heading to the neighboring villages about out departure. At this rate, we should be able to depart right away.

Or so I thought.

Mother and Anastasia were held down by her duty as the manager of the village. Until her paperwork was finished, she couldn't leave. Eris and Nova had no problem in this matter but Shade's departure was opposed by many youngsters of the villages. There were many old men and several young men who had opposed Alicia's departure. Alicia said that they were people who had been trying to propose her despite her refusal. This also same goes for Karina. Despite just arrived in the village, her popularity had skyrocketed in no time.

The problem regarding my mother and Anastasia aside, Shade's reason was quite complicated somehow as he was told to have a duel against those youngsters because of the local custom. Eris and Nova might have some problem regarding bringing their child to the battlefield so I might give them a choice to not coming with us. 

I was quite calm when I heard the reason why Karina wasn't allowed to leave but when I heard that Alicia was courted by the villagers I started to get irritated.

"Say, Alicia."

I called for her. 

"Can you repeat what the villagers said why you're forbidden again?"

I asked.

"There are many villagers especially the young men and the bachelors who had been trying to propose Alicia-sama who had opposed her departure to aid Shiina-sama."

Karina said calmly.

"Karina"

I called for the valkyrie in maid uniform standing behind Alicia.

"Please tell Mother to prepare a mass burial site. Also, please tell the people that there might be a slight change in the nearby topography."

I said.

"Are you going to go rampage here, Ren-sama?"

Karina asked.

"No, I just want to teach those people who have been in heat all year round about their place."

I said with smile. I stood from my seat and walked toward the door.

"Milord, instead of visiting them one by one, I think it would be more efficient to gather them before dealing them in one strike."

Karina suggested.

"Etto, Ren-sama, I know that you're jealous but please don't hurt them too much alright?"

Alicia said worriedly.

"Mama, what is 'jealous'?"

Lily asked innocently from her lap.

"Fue? Etto, etto, jealous is... you see..."

She tried so hard to figure out the correct words to tell her. Well, if it was me, I might also have a hard time. After all, this will lead the future development of my daughter's mentality. Thanks to that event, the villages had evaded the horror of the wrath of the worst dragon in history. 

Just for a day.

Thanks to Karina's quick action and information network, the rumor that Alicia would hold a competition for those who wished to be her husband spread throughout the villages in a single night. Of course, this info was nothing but bullshit to lure them out.
