I woke up to the feeling of a large finger poking me. I groaned, and snuggled under the blanket, but they only poked me harder. The poking suddenly stopped, and I thought they had left, when the blanket was suddenly yanked off of me, making me yelp. I saw Dreadwing standing next to me with a rare smile on his face.
"Primus, you are impossible to wake, femme!" he teased. I rolled my eyes."I don't sleep that deep, you old tin can!" He stared at me in mock hurt. Then we both laughed. He grew serious.
"It is almost time to set the plan in motion. Are you ready?" I nodded, yawning. I couldn't wait to get out of this dull, dark, and plain ship with evil beings on it.
The plan was for Dreadwing to take me on a "mission" to scout for Energon. We were going to tell him we would be gone for a few days, so he wouldn't be suspicious. Then, we would let our signals be picked up by the Autobots, warn them about the venom the Decepticons intended on using, and then officially go neutral. Dreadwing had wanted to kill Starscream first, but then our escape would be closed. All in all, the plan seemed foolproof, but even the simplest plans have setbacks...
Right now, Dreadwing and I had traveled to the bridge to ask Megatron to go on our mission.
"My lord Megatron! I have a request!" Stated Dreadwing. Megatron smirked.
"What is it you desire, Dreadwing?"Dreadwing bowed.
"I feel as though watching the human is not a sufficient punishment for defying you, my lord." Dreadwing replied. "I wish to take her, and scout for energon on this planet, and do not intend to return until I have found a satisfactory mine."
Megatron gave an evil grin.
"I admire your loyalty, Dreadwing, and I approve of your request. But, I have one question. Why are you taking the human femme?" I bowed.
"Lord Megatron, if I may. I also wish to prove my loyalty to your cause. I now see that the destruction of the Autobots is the only way to save this planet. Besides, I owe your kind for saving my life from the Grievers."Megatron smirked, pleased with my response. However, the next words he spoke make me quake in my boots.
"However, you shall take Soundwave with you. I dare say he needs to take a break, and will help you find said energon mines much faster."
Dreadwing had told me of the eyes and ears of the Decepticons. We were in big trouble. Dreadwing was quick to reply.
"My lord, if I may, if we are accompanied by Soundwave, and he helps us, then I will feel as though I have not done my part to atone for my mistakes."
Megatron seemed to consider this for a moment.
"Very well. But report back to either myself or Soundwave every hour." I mentally sighed with relief, when my hopes plummeted again.
"You will merely take Lazerbeak instead, unless he is doing important surveillance, Soundwave?" Megatron turned to his loyal TIC.
Soundwave shook his head silently, and released said minicon from his chassis. The small Cybertronian flew over, and hovered next to me. Megatron then dismissed us, and we prepared to leave, all the while thinking on how to get rid of Lazerbeak without anyone realizing it. We left after about an hour, as I needed food and clothes, and Dreadwing packed the Energon. Once we were ready, Soundwave opened a bridge, and we left.
We emerged from the groundbridge in a pleasant looking forest. It was the location of the most recent signs of Energon. We began to search. Lazerbeak flew above us, but didn't stray too far, and Dreadwing and I searched on foot, Dreadwing having an Energon sensor with him. Dreadwing discreetly allowed the Autobots to see his signal. We hoped they could distract Lazerbeak enough to where we could deliver the information to the Autobots, and that meant getting captured if necessary. Not five minutes later, the Autobots showed up. I hid, while Dreadwing and Lazerbeak engaged the Autobots, although I purposely didn't hide well enough. I was hoping to get the attention of one of them, so I could tell them what's going on. Suddenly, I was grabbed by an admittedly adorable Autobot. He was yellow with black stripes, and had the most adorable blue eyes. He looked at me, concerned, and tried to take me away, but I stopped him.
"Shh! You can't let Lazerbeak see us! And I need to tell you something really important!" I whispered to him. He listened carefully as I told him about the poison, and about myself and Dreadwing going rogue. When I was done, we made it look like he had captured me. Dreadwing grew "angry" and snatched me from the bot, and the Autobots soon retreated. Dreadwing looked at me, asking if I was alright, although I picked up the hidden question in his eyes. I nodded. Now, all we needed to do was get rid of Lazerbeak, and we were gone! I had been thinking back on the ship, and had come up with an idea, and told Dreadwing about it. If we could get him to sleep, then we could leave without him and disable his tracker. He had made some Energon candies with a substance that was basically a sleep serum for bots. We most likely wouldn't have much of a head start, but it was better than nothing.
"Hey Lazerbeak! Come here!" I called him. He flew over, and gave me a questioning look. I held up the container of serum candies. "I made these for you!" He hesitantly tased one, then ate the whole container! Two containers later (we made sure to bring a ton), he was fast asleep. Dreadwing quickly and carefully disabled his tracking system, but made sure Soundwave could still track his location. It wouldn't do for the mech to come looking for him when he could no longer track his signal. Then, we left. During the battle, Dreadwing had a spur of the moment idea to have his main tracker broken during the battle with the Autobots. When the Nemesis called, asking about this, he had assured them all was well, but his insignia had been slashed, breaking the tracker within it. He was determined to not let this bring him down, and insisted on continuing the mission. I had questioned the wisdom of breaking Lazerbeak's tracker, as we could stage our capture by the Autobots in the middle of the night, but he replied that Megatron would immediately know it was meant to throw him off the trail, as the Autobots never attacked at night. So, we disabled said tracker, and left. We found a nice cave in the mountains, and made camp there. We stayed there for about a year, stealing Energon, food, and other items when the need arose. The Autobots sometimes brought us things at designated coordinates, but they never found our hideout. One day, we were abruptly transported back to the maze I had stumbled out of so long ago. Dreadwing and I had actually been dating for a while now. I made it back to my maze, to be welcomed warmly with smiles and tears of joy. They were naturally skeptical when I introduced Dreadwing, but they warmed up to him eventually. He even helped us escape our maze, escape WICKED who pretended to be our rescuers, and saved the life of a teenager named Newt who had been seriously infected by the Flare, the brain-killing virus that had nearly destroyed our world, and was the main reason WICKED locked us, along with so many others, in a maze. Thankfully, I was one of the few who were immune to said virus.
We eventually found the true safe haven, where we lived until we died. We got married, had four beautiful children (Dreadwing had a holoform, so we could be intimate with each other), and lived long, happy lives. Because he bonded with me, he would die when I would. I said he didn't have to, but said he had lived long enough, and would be happy to die by my side. I cried, hardly able to believe that he loved me enough to do that.
And to think I never would have met him if I wasn't late leaving the maze that one day, and if I never fell through the wall...
Hope y'all enjoy!
