Connie saw the monster that laid before her, the pink and purple dots slowly moving and pulsing every second. Steven wanted to tell her that he is okay, and that he is still Steven, but at las, he couldn't. For all that came we're roars and growls, only making Connie more scared.
The crushed diamond logos laid on the retired training area, ironically leaving only the pink diamond logo intact in the stone wall. Steven realized the mass destruction he had caused in one single punch. He was not only scared, but he was also, curious. Would he be stronger than pearl? Or amethyst? Or maybe even garnet! He could actually be a supporting member if the team! He can finally not be a burden anymore!!!

Steven was now rethinking his possibilities, mainly glad that he isn't weak anymore. Pearl slowly walked towards the corrupted hybrid, her head down. As pearl got closer, Steven was tempted to hug her, to tell her that he was alright and that he could be a reliable member of the Crystal Gems now! But as she got closer, pearl summoned her spear, then looked up at the monster, with nothing but pure hatred and concern. "I thought we took care of them all! Connie! HAND ME A HAND WOULD YOU?!" Pearl screamed, then adding, "rose would be helpful right now.", shaking her head, pearl then lunged at Steven with full force. Steven was shocked and was slow at dodging, which he failed, and pearl successfully sliced her spear into the monster's shoulder blade. Roaring in pain, Steven shook off the pearl, clenching onto his shoulder. He looked up again at the heartbroken pearl, but then he felt warmth up his back. Roaring, he turned his head to see Connie slicing her star sword into his back. Tears began to dwell in his eyes.

Wait.
Did pearl say Rose? Did he only matter to pearl just because he held his mother's gem? Connie began to scream at Steven this time, "WHERE IS STEVEN!? YOU! YOU- YOU MONSTER!"
Monster.

That's what made steven upset, he wasn't a monster, he was Steven! Why can't they SEE THAT! As Steven thought that he roared in fury, as he dashed toward the pearl. Pearl was oblivious, then jolted back in reality as Steven grabbed her in his now terrifying claws. As he grabbed her, Steven turned pearl's face towards his own, starring down at the heartbroken gem. Steven roared at her, louder than he ever had. Saliva splashed onto pearls face as Steven did so, making pearl snap. "STEVEN! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Only then Pearl looked past the monster, seeing pink shards on the ground, the white gem gasped, then looked at the monsters corrupted pink diamond eyes, full of determination and hate. Steven felt hurt from this more than anything. He couldn't understand them very well, and he thought they were talking about him and his mother, with the look of their faces. He hated when pearl compared him to his so called mother, he hated that the crystal gems kept secrets from him, and instead of telling the truth, they LIED. They LIED about his mother not being pink diamond, no pearl LIED about everything! About pink diamond, about the shattering, about home world, EVERYTHING! HE LIVED A LIE, AND HE HATED IT!

With all this sudden hatred, Steven threw pearl across the arena, roaring in just pure hatred of what the gem just screamed. "PEARL!" Connie screams as she dashed towards the gem. Tears were flooding her eyes as she grabbed the unconscious pearl. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?" Connie scream, slowly placing down the gem and grabbing her blood soaked sword, aiming it towards the monster. Steven thought of the times that Connie had broken the poor boy. The time where she ignored him for sword training, the time where she didn't pay attention to his recommendations or advice. The time where Steven risked HIS LIFE FOR HER by giving himself in to home world, just to keep Connie and his former friends, safe. But when the hybrid returned from his life threatening journey with the diamonds, she never was thankful that he was breathing or walking, she was furious at him because he didn't bring her along! Or that she wasn't apart of it! "RAAAA!" Steven screamed, clenching his head and he kneeled down, all these hatred memories that he thought he welded in the back of his mind, began to collapse in one flash back movie.

They never cared about Steven ohohoho no- THEY CARED ABOUT ROSE! THEY ONLY LOVED HIM BECAUSE HE HELD THE GEM OF ROSE. Connie screamed and dashed towards the kneeled gem, and sliced through his left eye, Steven snapped back in the battle and grabbed Connie, leaving her sword stabbed in his eye. Steven couldn't feel the pain as blood replaced his tears, the only pain he felt was the fact that they don't love him and they NEVER DID.
With Connie still his Stevens claws, the monster took the sword out from his blinded eye, and threw it off the former battle field. Somehow Steven manage to pronounce words, as he spoke," you- y-you NEVER LOVED ME!" Screaming at the girl, starring in her fear flooded eyes. "W-wha-AAAAA" Connie could only say, as when Steven YEETED her into pearl, as they both collided into each other, sliding at the edge of the broken arena. Before they about slid off the edge, a purplish, blackish whip, grabbed the two, now unconscious bodies. Yanking them up to the crumbleing arch. Stevens diamond eyes followed the whip, and as the whip ended, it showed a scared amethyst and furious garnet.

Steven couldn't think of any happy memories, nor could he feel feelings. The only feelings he did feel though, were revenge and hatred, towards all those gems and people who lied to him! He has been living a lie all his life, and now, Steven wants to repay the favor, and his repay, will be MAKING THEM SUFFER LIKE HE DID ALL THOSE YEARS!
