"NO CONNIE!" Pearl interrupted the girl, her face full of fear,"that boy is corrupted, and when gems fuse with corrupted gems, they will get corrupted as well, I don't know about you organics though, and I'm not taking a chance. Remember jasper?!" Pearl continued firmly, leaving Connie dumbstruck.
"But Pearl! You don't understand, I miss Steven so much, I'd do anything to get my jam bud back!" Connie argued, causing pearl to get frustrated, "Connie! You will not fuse with THAT beast! I don't want my precious training to go to waste." Pearl ended softly, Connie barely heard it but she knew what the gem said. "What is up with you gems?! You guys are like nice but then mean if nothing goes your way! Steven is never like that, and that's why I want to help him! Pearl, JUST LET ME!" Pearl then grew mad but instead of yelling back, she stomped to the door, "JUST DONT BLAME ME IF YOU DIE." Pearl yelled, opening the door and BOOM, Connie was left alone with Steven.
Connie crawled back to Steven, holding him down so he doesn't have another sleeping fit, cuffing his beast like head, "it's okay, it's just me, your jam bud.!" Connie cooed, then said,"let me fuse with you, I want to help you Steven, I won't hurt you, I p r o m i s e."

Steven rose his head from his chest, rolling in his bubble, he tried to put his elf like ear to the wall of the pink orb, trying to hear what someone is saying.
"It's o k a y, it's just me, your jam bud, let's me fuse with you, I won't hurt you, I p r o m i s e..." The boy may not remember a lot of things, but after the memory clip, he knew who his jambud is. The boys heart lurched, he wanted to see his bud again. Letting all nerves calm, he took a deep breath, as he looked around his bubble, there were vines everywhere, how was connie going to get to him?

After a couple minutes of cooing and calming, Connie soon saw Stevens gem glow, faint, but it was glowing! Connie knee this happens when Steven is about to fuse, and with a smile, Connie closed her eyes, calming all her nerves, and within a flash, they fused. Though it was weird, because Steven was still the same in physical looks.

Connie opened her eyes, gasping as she looked around, darkness, and beyond was just more darkness. Her chest hurt due to all the feeling steven felt, was this really what he had to coop with? Connie rose from her spot, and started to search for the boy
