Soon Connie had arrived to the gems house, asking why they needed her knowledge so bad.
"Guys? Why did you need me so badly? What would I know that would help you so much?" Connie questioned, mainly looking at pearl, her teacher. "Connie, you know the corrupted monster that attacked you last week?" Garnet said, leaning closer to get better hearing on her reply,"yeeessss....?" Connie felt nervous, scared of what the gems were thinking. "Well, we uh, kinda, found out that the monster WAS STEVEN!" Pearl rose her voice at the end of her sentence, shocking Connie almost to the point where she would faint. "WHAT?! But we found h-his gem shatte-....." Connie couldnt finish the rest, for she would break. She misses her jam bud so much to the point where she would do anything to get him back, and yet, there wasn't anything. Or was there?

"Connie, we thought that too, but we were wrong, and now we have to find out what had corrupted him, do you know any possibly situations that could've caused it?" Garnet asked softly, placing a hand on the broken girls shoulder. "No not really.... other than the weird corrupted gem that had attacked Steven and I." Connie said, slowly softening her voice as she spoke. "Wait, corrupted gem?! What did it look like?!" Pearl pushed garnet to the side, giving full attention to the girl. "Ummmm, it was like the weird centipeedle you guys fought, but this time it was a red gem, with more legs, it's face sideways instead of vertical, and it's tail was like a stinger, not the crab claw like tail from the one you fought." The gems gasped, with garnet then saying, "THE MILLIPEEDLE?! I THOUGHT WE TOOK CARE OF THAT BEAST!" Connie jumped at the sudden burst, rapidly saying, "nonononono! Steven took care of it, but before he did, the, millipeedle, had tried to sting me, but, Steven got in the way, and causing the beast to sting him, and ever since, hes been acting weird." Amethyst then said," well, that makes sense, because I'm prettty sure that stinger has some toxic venom in it!"

"Now was that all you guys needed me for? Because I want to see,... Steven."
Pearl and garnet looked at each other. Then pearl nodded, with garnet saying, "he's been asleep for over a week, Connie, and I'm sure Steven still is, he really took a beating. Not to mention his eye is awful-." "I still want to see him! I miss him so much!" Connie interrupted the fusion, giving her the pleading eyes like what Steven does all the time. "Sigh, Pearl, take Connie to Steven, I've got to patrol all warp pads, to make sure there are NO MORE corrupted gems." While garnet warped away, Pearl took Connie to the boiling room, where Steven was sleeping. Connie then ran to the boy, crouching down next to the sleeping beast. "Oh steven...." the girl said, cuffing her hands around the monster, observing him.

Steven was asleep, but he didn't act like it. He was restless. As the monster rolled over, Connie had let go of his face. Watching him twist and turn. "He's been doing that. Sometimes, we'd even see tears in his eyes." Pearl acknowledge while walking over to the boy as well. Connie thought on how she could wake him up. The poor girl jus wanted to talk to him again, monster or not. Then Connie had an idea, turning to pearl, Connie yelped,"I HAS AN IDEA!!!"
