Alex took but a moment to compose herself. She was not expecting to see Dae in Jin's office, actually she was not expecting anyone.
“Ah SongDae,” she relied, putting her feet back on the desk, “it’s only you. I thought it was someone important.”
Her poor attempt at a dig only made Dae smile.
“Yes, just me. Why are you using Jin's computer? He does not allow anyone to touch his things.” Dae said.
“Silly girl! He may not let anyone else use his office. But you know I am not just “anyone". I was just…checking my email.” Alex responded.
Dae's eyes narrowed and met the challenge in the other woman. That was an obvious lie.
Just then the elevator doors buzzed and Jin and his secretary could be heard coming in.
Alex smirked at Dae and pulled her skirt higher, leaned back in Jin's office chair, and folded her arms behind her head. Everything about her pose was provocative.
Dae turned to watch Jin as he entered. His dark head was bent studying the report in his hands.
Did his mind never shut off work? Dae blushed, knowing what it took to get Jin to put his work down. She also knew that relief had been absent for both of them for too long.
Then the color drained from her face as the thought crossed her mind that he might find that place with Alex.
She really hated her.
Jin looked up as the gentle scent of honeysuckle and citrus reached him. Dae. That was her scent. He smelled it in his dreams.
His eyes lit with delight as he saw her. He watched as she smiled, the tiny dimple making its appearance. She was truly happy to see him as well. He was utterly content in that moment.
“Dae! I knew you were here reviewing designs. I have been looking for you everywhere.” Jin said as he drew closer to her.
Suddenly the loud bang of a report binder hitting the floor broke Jin's focus from Dae and drew it behind her.
